Multiplayer in gaming has always been enjoyable, cooperative or competitive. Nothing beats the kind of fun you have playing together with friends and sharing the little moments. And with the internet, you don’t even have to be in the same room to enjoy a multiplayer session. Things have certainly become a lot more convenient.
When it comes to online multiplayer, I think it goes without saying that shooting games lie at the top of the list. I still fondly remember my Halo days; the Xbox 360 era was a lot of fun. Today, it’s Call of Duty and Battlefield that scratch the competitive shooting itch. Speaking of Battlefield, the latest entry is making quite the waves. And if you’d like to join in on the online gaming fun but are very security-conscious, as you should be, you can always set up one of the many affordable residential proxy servers.

The Battlefield 6 Hype
At this point, I’m sure you’ve heard of all the popularity Battlefield 6 is gaining these days. When the beta was announced, I must say that I was quite skeptical. And can you even blame me after the Battlefield 2042 debacle? Anyway, I went in with very low expectations and was ready to be disappointed. Boy, was I wrong.
The Battlefield 6 beta was much more entertaining and refined than I was expecting. And I wasn’t the only one thinking so. The entire world jumped at the opportunity and enjoyed the new Battlefield. If you look at the beta player count, you’ll see that it broke records. People have nothing but good things to say about it.

This success becomes even more relevant when you see that the new Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is right around the corner. Battlefield 6’s unexpected success creates a heated conflict to look forward to. Admit it or not, Battlefield 6 is quite a big deal. Call of Duty retracted Carry-Forward recently, and even though not explicitly stated, I’m sure Battlefield 6 was among the reasons.
Now the question arises, what is it that Battlefield did so good this year?
A Return To Form For Battlefield
The most important reason why the whole world is enjoying Battlefield 6 is that this is a return to the series’ roots, a reminder of the Battlefield identity, and the revival of all the things that made us fall in love with Battlefield in the first place. After 2042 completely forgot what made Battlefield stand out. It’s a sigh of relief to see the series back on track.

Battlefield was supposed to be a grounded, realistic shooter rather than the arcade-y gameplay, with a focus on team play and immersion. You get to experience all of this again in the Battlefield 6 beta. It’s like I’m back in the BF3 and 4 era. No flashy operators and skins, solid gunplay, true squad mechanics, meaningful roles, all the classic Battlefield action.
Battlefield 6 goes back to what the series is supposed to be. There’s realistic, high-stakes action, hype moments that scream “this is Battlefield,” iconic guns with high attention to the small details, consistent damage, classic vehicle sets, and that nostalgic atmosphere that reminds you of the old Battlefield; it has everything. Above all, the attention to team play with the squad mechanics and roles is quite commendable.
Battlefield 6 seems to be returning back to its amazing roots. I cannot wait!!

What I want to say is that the beta featured the kind of Battlefield quality we have been missing for years now. It goes back to what makes the series stand out and takes meaningful steps towards reigniting the spark. Still, I won’t call it perfect just yet. There’s a lot to be done, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is what Battlefield ought to be.
Keep The Momentum Going
Needless to say, this beta was a huge success for Battlefield 6. It has successfully created a hype, but there’s no point in stopping here. This is the perfect opportunity to analyze the beta feedback and create an even stronger final product. There are a number of things that I would personally ike to see implemented.
Battlefield 6 Missing Features Mega List

First up is the map design, which needs some work. Maps in the beta, although reminiscent of the classics, are designed very linearly, with large open areas blocked out. There’s not much element of choice in the narrow corridors, which is important for Battlefield. Of course, this is just the beta, but final maps shouldn’t be like this.
Another thing is open loadouts, which undermines the class system and roles. It’s great that specialized roles and classes are back, but if everyone can equip every loadout, it kind of beats the purpose, doesn’t it? And of course, the pacing issues, bugs, glitches, cheaters, all the usual problems that need to be addressed.

All in all, Battlefield 6 is a solid game and a step in the right direction. It boldly announced that the series is back with a bang and can give Call of Duty a tough competition. Gaming is all about rivals pushing each other, and since Battlefield 6 has become such a big deal, maybe Call of Duty will step up its game, too. Let’s see.
