Warrior Build
Best Build For Close-Combat
The warrior build is my favorite when it comes to beating armored enemies, charging into forts (Lokris Fort), or fighting enemies head-on. If you are looking for best build, I highly recommend going with this one on your first playthrough of the game.
Why I Chose This: This build was able to help me tackle enemies heads-on with the use of versatile abilities, offering an enjoyable playstyle.

Armor
For the best warrior build armor, there is no parallel to the Greek Heroes set. The five armor pieces increase warrior damage significantly and, in addition, grant a buff to armor, increase the overall resistance to damage and give extra health.
Abilities
Bull Rush: Charges at enemies, dealing 250% Warrior damage and knocking them down upon impact.
Fury of the Bloodline: Generates three adrenaline bars over time and unleashes five attacks, dealing a total of 120% Warrior damage.
Second Wind: Increases the player’s base health by an additional 25%.
Spartan Kick: Delivers a signature attack that inflicts 160% Warrior damage and knocks the enemy down.
Battlecry of Ares: Boosts the player’s attacks by 20% for 10 seconds, while also debuffing incoming enemy attacks.
Shield Breaker: Allows the player to break small shields while dealing 150% Warrior damage.
Flaming Attacks: Temporarily imbues melee weapons and arrows with fire, causing burn damage over 15 seconds. The intensity of the fire determines the burn damage inflicted.
Fire Mastery: Increases the rate at which the fire meter builds by 25%.
Weapons
If you are into heavy and long weapons, go with Minotaur’s Labrys – a doubled-sided battle axe. But, if you want the fast, slice and dice or hack and slash like a weapon, I recommend picking Sword of Damokles. Both work perfectly well with the above-mentioned abilities, and using the weapons I recommend will give you a might warrior build.
Greek Warriors Set provides boosts damage, armor, resistance, and extra hp.
Great for taking on enemies head-on.
Lacks in long-range combat scenarios.
Hunter Build
Best Long-Ranged Stealth Build
When it comes to shooting down enemies with a bow from a distance, a Hunter builds never disappoints. The Hunter build is the most versatile from others in terms of higher survivability, taking down enemies while remaining unnoticed, and ordering predator animals to do your bidding.
Why I Chose This: This build allowed for taking down enemies with ease using stealth. The plethora of abilities allows for fighting in various scenarios.

Armor
To get the most hunter and headshot damage, I highly suggest you unlock the complete Artemis set in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It completes the Hunter build by granting Hunter damage, headshot damage, and other bow-related perks that no other set offers in the game. Here is an image for your reference.
Abilities
Sixth Sense: Slows down time for nearly five seconds when enemies detect you, allowing you to aim and lock onto them. Deals 150% Hunter damage.
Arrow Master: Enables the use of Paralyzing Arrows to immobilize enemies without killing them, unless their health is low and you land a headshot.
Beast Master: Grants the ability to tame wolves that have been knocked out. You can tame one wolf at a time.
Multi Shot: Simultaneously targets up to 4 enemies, dealing 150% Hunter damage to each.
Predator Shot: Allows zooming and shooting with the bow, dealing 430% Hunter damage. Arrows travel 25% farther than normal.
Devastating Shot: Fires an ultimate arrow dealing 290% Hunter damage and increases elemental build-up for Fire and Poison arrows by 150%.
Archery Master: Never consumes normal arrows and increases overall Hunter damage by 20%.
Overpower Bow Strike: Shoots an explosive arrow on impact, dealing 1000% Hunter damage. Requires three adrenaline segments.
Weapons
You can basically go with any melee weapon you like while running a Hunter build. However, do keep in mind that the weapon you equip must have a certain percentage of Hunter damage buff. Otherwise, the melee weapon will not directly affect your overall Hunter build.
For ranged weapons, I suggest you pick up the Achilles’ Bow. It is because the Devastating Shot ability that I mentioned to equip in the abilities section synergizes with the Achillessynergises weapon’s engraving offers an additional 20% to Devastating Shot.
Great for players who like a stealthy playstyle.
Versatile.
Great hunter and headshot damage due to the Artemis Set.
Great abilities and perks.
Requires the Artemis set for optimal use.
Assassin Build
Best One Shot Kill Assassination Build
Post-AC Unity, Ubisoft made significant changes to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and it takes great effort to assassinate an enemy in a single blow. Luckily, Yes, you still can, at least to a greater degree, takedown enemies in a single assassin button prompt.
Why I Chose This: This build provides great close-range combat with single-blow assassinations making it one of the best builds in the game.

Armor
Snake Set is the armor I recommend to equip while running an Assassin build. It is because all five pieces of the armor grant you Assassin damage, poison damage, and elemental build up. Here is an image for your reference.
Abilities
Shadow Assassin: Increases knockout and Assassination damage by 20%. Loots corpses automatically after assassinating enemies.
Rush Assassination: Hurls the Spear of Leonidas at an enemy for 100% Assassin damage, usable only at close range and doesn’t chain attacks.
Critical Assassination: Increases Assassin damage by 200%, enhancing knockout and Assassination skills.
Shadow of Nyx: Grants invisibility when out of conflict, but consumes adrenaline faster over time. Unlocked at Level 23.
Venomous Attacks: Infuses Poison elemental damage on melee weapons and arrows, causing damage debuffs and intoxication.
Poison Mastery: Increases poison buildup by 25%, works in conjunction with Venomous Attacks.
Call to Arms: Summons a personal lieutenant to attack or distract enemies for 30 seconds.
Death Veil: Causes Assassinated enemies to vanish, maintaining stealth. Requires Shadow Assassin to be equipped.
Weapons
Arachne’s Stingers is the primary weapon of choice to go with using this build. It is because not only the weapon grants you 15% Assassin damage, but it also gives 20% poison damage as well. Both of the weapon stats go in synergy with my Assassin build, and that is why I always prefer running with Arachne’s Stingers while playing as an Assassin build.
For the bow, I highly recommend using Fanged Bow. Once again, like the melee weapon mentioned above, this one too gives Kassandra or Alexios 15% Assassin damage and 20% Poison damage. Moreover, all regular arrows deal with poison damage – more reasons to get Fanged Bow.
Has the ability to take down enemies in a single blow.
Great assassin and poison damage.
Can summon a lieutenant for your aid.
Lacks in long-range combat scenarios.
Shadow of Nyx invisibility can be disturbed by sudden movements.
Hybrid Build
Best All Rounder Stealth Build
A hybrid build is the mix of three skill trees in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Creating this build and using it the right way will show you why it is essential to work for best build. The hybrid build should be good enough for direct confrontations with enemies and crowd control. It also must utilize ranged weapons and stealth attacks. All in all, this build is the best of both worlds.
Why I Chose This: This build proved to be great for close combat, ranged attacks, stealth, and crowd control. Excelling in so many areas made it hard not to include it on my list.

Armor
Armor of the Dikastes is the best for building a Hybrid build in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Equipping all five set pieces not only overpower your warrior damage but also gives your useful buffs such as ignore half damage, enhanced abilities damage, and increases crit chance and crit damage.
Abilities
Flaming Attacks: Infuses weapons with fire, causing burn damage over 15 seconds. Greater fire meter increases burn damage.
Fire Mastery: Increases fire meter buildup by 25%.
Overpower Bow Strike: Shoots an explosive arrow dealing 1000% Hunter damage, consuming three adrenaline segments.
Spartan Kick: Lands 160% warrior damage on an enemy, knocking them down.
Arrow Master: Enables the use of Paralyzing Arrows to knock out enemies, particularly effective with headshots.
Archery Master: Never consumes normal arrows, increases overall Hunter damage by 20%.
Shadow Assassin: Increases knockout and Assassination damage by 20%. Automatically loots corpses after assassinations.
Death Veil: Causes Assassinated enemies to disappear, maintaining stealth. Requires Shadow Assassin to be equipped.
Weapons
When it comes to running away from conflict into the water, you no longer need to worry about running out of breath. Equipping Poseidon’s Trident gives you additional warrior damage, which synergises well with the Hybrid build. Also, the underwater ability is cherry on top in case you need to escape via sea and lose enemies’ sight.
Provides great versatility.
Makes use of abilities from warrior, hunter, and assassin skill trees.
Great for close-range confrontations.
Use of Armor of Diskastes for optimal use.
Untouchable Build
Best Build For Versatile Combat Abilities
Untouchable build is by far the most time-consuming build. It is because it requires players to unlock level 2 and 3 versions of certain abilities. You will need to scale the vast map of the game to unlock the secrets needed to upgrade.
Why I Chose This: The way this build just makes use of a plethora of abilities to take down opponents. Slowing time, taming beasts, stunning enemies, etc.

Armor
There is nothing better to equip than Spartan War Hero armor while rocking the Untouchable build in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Abilities
Shield Breaker (Level 2): Breaks shields of any size, stunning enemies and dealing 250% Warrior damage.
Beast Master (Level 2): Allows taming of predatory animals when knocked out. Maximum tame capacity is one.

Vanish (Level 2): Stuns enemies with a bright light for 10 seconds, removed upon being attacked.
Ring of Chaos (Level 3): Slows nearby enemies with Ares’ power, dealing 250% warrior damage after 15 seconds.
Slow Time (Level 2): Slows time for 10 seconds, granting increased movement speed.
Revelation (Level 2): Reveals secrets, chests, hidden passages, and nearby foes within a 30-meter radius.
Charged Heavy Attack (Level 2): Charges at enemies, dealing 150% increased damage and reducing charge duration by 25%.
Weapons
Dagger Of Kronus is the go-to weapon with an Untouchable build. All three perks sit just about right and suit this build. Also, the fast slashing looks immensely satisfying while landing killing blows to the weakened enemies.
Tame predatory beasts for combat-aiding purposes.
Allows you to stun enemies making them vulnerable.
Great damage.
Reaching level 2 and level 3 of abilities can be time-consuming.
Demigod Build
Best Build For Dominating Melee Combat Using Greek God Powers
As self-explanatory as the name of the build goes, the Demigod build enables Kassandra or Alexios to chain the Greek power of Greek gods while fighting with the enemies. This is why most abilities while making a Demigod build, are required to be the maxed-out versions.
Why I Chose This: This build provides exceptional melee combat capabilities while using the power of the Greek gods.

Armor
For Demigod build, I highly recommend using the Demigod armor set. Equipping all five set pieces gives you additional warrior and abilities damage. This is a must-have armor set to go while rocking the Demigod build.
Abilities
Bull Rush (Level 3 – Ares Bull Charge): Summons a bull to charge at enemies, knocking them out and dealing 400% Warrior damage.
Second Wind (Level 3 – Ares’s Last Breath): Grants attack immunity, converts damage received to health, auto-parries melee attacks, and provides fire and poison immunity for 10 seconds.
Ring of Chaos (Level 3 – Wrath of Ares): Smashes the weapon into the ground, dealing damage to enemies within a 5-meter radius, with additional damage after 15 seconds.
Venomous Attacks (Level 3 – Blessing of Kronos): Grants Isu powers to generate adrenaline 50% faster for 15 seconds.
Vanish (Level 3 – Kronos Time Shift): Slows time for 3 seconds, allowing movement while enemies are suspended, and launches airborne assassinations on stunned enemies.
Call to Arms (Level 3 – Kronos’s Punishment): Summons a replica capable of stealth attacks, dealing 100% Assassin damage.
Rush Assassination (Level 2): Launches the Spear of Leonidas, dealing 150% Assassin damage, with chaining capability to up to 3 enemies.
Shadow Assassin (Level 2): Increases assassination and knockout damage by 40%, automatically loots enemy corpses, and grants an additional adrenaline bar.
Weapons
Since it is the melee weapon you will be using most of the time while playing as a Demigo build, Mallet of Everlasting Flame is my recommendation for this build. Not only the weapon grants additional warrior damage but also deals fire damage on enemies as well.
High versatility.
Great damage-dealing capabilities.
Allows for the channeling of Greek godpowers.
Maxing out abilities can be time-consuming.
Heavily relies on melee combat.
My Opinion On These Best Builds
For me, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey always felt like a Role-Playing game rather than an Assassin’s Creed title, so I highly encourage you to use the Warrior Build, but again, that all comes down to personal preferences. If you like mixing Stealth, then the Assassin’s build is something you’ll heavily adore.
But for me, the Warrior Build helped me easily destroy secret bosses such as Medusa and overcome the challenges presented in the DLC. Don’t forget that my version of the Warrior build also favors using Flame attacks amidst the melee combos.
