Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Get Mystic Spearhand [Easy Steps]

Mystic Spearhand is a hybrid vocation with unique move set and abilities that can help you dominate any battle..

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has 4 Vocations to choose from at the start. However, there are also advanced Vocation that can be unlocked later. Among those Advanced vocation, there is one known as Mystic Spearhand, which many fans wonder how to get in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This became my favorite vocation as soon as I unlocked it due to its fast-paced attack pattern and unique abilities.

Key Takeaways

There are a total of 10 Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and Mystic Spearhand is one of them.

  • Only four are available at the start, so players have to unlock the Mystic Spearhand by doing the Monster Culling quest.
  • After doing the quest, all players have to do is go back to Melve, fight a dragon, and talk to Sigurd.
  • By doing so, Mystic Spearhand will be unlocked in-game.

Mystic Spearhand can be unlocked in the early game, but you might miss it without proper instructions.

Getting this Vocation isn’t that hard, so follow these steps on how to get Mystic Spearhand in Dragon’s Dogma 2 as soon as possible:

  • Completing Captian Brant’s Quest In Vermonth: You don’t have to complete all of Captian Brant’s Quest to unlock Mystic Spearhand. You can simply do one, allowing you to unlock the desired vocation.
  • My Suggestion: I’d recommend doing the second quest if you want to unlock the vocation quickly. However, if you want to unlock the sorcerer and warrior alongside, you should do the Monster Culling quest.

  • Queen Regent Quest: I highly recommend choosing this quest to unlock Mystic Spearhand quickly. You just have to go to the caste, get the torn letter, and give it to Brant.

  • Go Back To Melve: Now, all you have to do is go back to Melve, so simply use the ox cart to travel there. Going with the cart is better as the distance is massive. As soon as you reach Melve, it will be attacked by a dragon.

Fight The Dragon In Melve

As soon as you reach Melve, be prepared to fight a difficult opponent:

  • Fighting The Dragon: Don’t worry, you don’t have to kill the dragon. You just have to fight it until it escapes. Ensure not to get killed by the dragon and launch an all-out attack with your Pawns.
  • Visual Cue: While fighting the dragon, you will notice one of your allies uses a unique battle style. That person is using Mystic Spearhand vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is his own unique style of play.

  • Getting The Vocation: Now, all you have to do is talk to the man with a hood named Sigurd. Ask him about his fighting style and unlock the Mystic Spearhand.

However, what if you have already driven off the dragon and missed your chance to talk to Sigurd? Don’t worry, you can still find him.

Location Of Sigurd

Sigurd lives in Harve Village, so you can find him there. Even if you have progressed after fighting the dragon, you can still go back to the Harve Village.

  • Finding Sigurd In Harve Village: Once you reach Harve Village, look for a place known as Coastal Hut. It is located on the eastern side, so you can easily find it on the map, too. There you will find Sigurd, so talk to him and unlock Mytsic Spearhand.

That is almost everything you would want to know about how to get the Mystic Spearhand in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The four available vocations, while they are fun to play with, aren’t that good. So, unlocking Mystic Spearhand became necessary for my run as playing with it was so fun. Also, if you want to keep with the discussions about Dragon’s Dogma 2 check out the Steam Community Page.
