Creation Island Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Iron Cove.

Clue: Why waste a life worshipping those who were created by another? I honour Buri, first among Gods and he from whom the Aesir sprang. I left him a tribute on the island that honours him.

This God of War Treasure Map can be found on the shore of Iron Cove, next to some barrels and crates. You can only reach this location after you’ve completed the quest “A New Destination,” and the water level in the Lake of Nine has dropped for the first time.

It leads you to an area known as Buri’s Storeroom, which is north of the Volunder Mines. Go here, then search near some boulders to the right of the large gate to dig up the treasure.

Your reward is an Eternal Frost, which can be used to upgrade pommels with Frost damage effects.

Dead And Bloated Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Volunder Mines.

Clue: The troll who killed my kin is slain, but the battle has taken its toll. I’ve buried whatever I have left near his corpse. Ingrid and I used to frequent this beach to watch the sunrise over the temple.

The Dead and Bloated God of War Treasure Map can be located in the Volunder Mines, which you visit after you’ve picked up the “Second Hand Soul” favor from Brok. You’ll come across a fork in the road while exploring the area, and heading right from here will lead you to the map next to a chest and a giant wooden wheel.

Follow the clue to the Cliffs of the Raven region, where the dig spot is next to a dead Troll corpse.

Now you’ll receive an Oblivion Stone, which can be used to upgrade pommels with life-draining damage effects.

Don’t Blink Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Fafnir’s Storeroom.

Clue: My journey will be long, and I can only carry the essentials. I leave my possessions under the watchful eyes of the face of stone until I return.

Players can locate this God of War Treasure Map in Fafnir’s Storeroom after starting the favor “Fafnir’s Hoard”. It’s in the middle of the circular platform, next to the corpse of the armoured knight.

It leads you to the base of The Mountain, in front of the cliffside that resembles ahead. Look for a mound of dirt before the cave entrance that makes up its mouth to dig up your treasure.

Completing this will give you the Glacial Catalyst, which can be used to upgrade the Charm of Infinite Storm.

Finder’s Fee Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
The Forgotten Caverns.

Clue: I’ve been working for Hraezla Farmadr a long time, but the pay is always short. With the camp split between Vandrid and his old man, no one will notice me stashing a bit of the earnings on the side. My secret perch is the perfect hiding spot.

Towards the east side of the Lake of Nine, there is an area known as the Forgotten Caverns. It can be reached only after the water level drops for the first time. Head inside these caves, and you should find the map next to a Mystic Gateway.

After starting the “Family Business” favour, you will gain access to the Northri Stronghold in the northwest of the Midgard map. From here, make your way to the Water Wheel, and right before you cross the broken bridge, turn around and climb up a ledge to find the treasure.

This one is the Unyielding Cylinder, which lets you upgrade pommels with Burn damage effects.

Hunter’s Kingdom Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Lookout Tower.

Clue: Motsognir, ruler of man and beast. I came to his kingdom to learn if he had obtained the ingredients to forge the Armor of Legend. All I found was death and sorrow. I leave this offering in memory of those who suffered in the Dwarf’s King’s quest for glory.

The Hunter’s Kingdom God of War Treasure Map can be found at the Lookout Tower in the Lake of Nine. It’s hard to miss this one since it’s on the beach.

Now head to the castle in Veithurgard and approach the gate that is locked with runes. The treasure dig spot can be seen to the left of this structure, near some piles of rocks.

You will now be rewarded with the Leiptir Alloy, which is used to upgrade pommels with Shock damage effects.

Island of Light Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
The Mason’s Channel.

Clue: While we hail from Alfheim, the Light Elves make sure to watch over Midgard. I’ve spent most of my life here at this outpost, and I will likely die here.

When the water level in the Lake of Nine drops, you can access the beach of The Mason’s Channel. The map is next to the boat dock, directly in front of the Mystic Gateway.

This leads you to the Lake’s northwestern corner, where the Light Elf Outpost can be found. Progress through this location like normal, and the treasure dig spot can be seen on the edge of a cliff, past a large iron gate.

Your treasure this time is the Unyielding Cylinder, which is used to upgrade pommels with Burn damage effects.

Kneel Before Thor! Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Landsuther Mines.

Clue: I’ve lived to serve the god of thunder, and I bury my greatest treasure right where all inhabitants of Midgard should dwell: at the feed of the God of gods.

Players can visit the Landsuther Mines when they pick up the “Deus Ex Malachite” favour from Brok. There is a gate on the first floor of this location that you cannot open right now; you have to explore the mines’ lower levels first and eventually find a lift that will bring you up behind the closed gate. A God of War Treasure Map can be found in this area.

The clue this time takes you to the extremely obvious Thor statue in the lake. Head to the Lookout Tower beach, and climb to the top of the area. You will eventually find a zip line at the peak, which you can ride down directly to the feet of the statue. The Treasure is buried near the right foot.

Completion of this map will give players an Unstable Ore, which can be used to upgrade pommels with Explosive damage effects.

Njord’s Oarsmen Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Northri Stronghold.

Clue: On my last voyage, my ship was ravaged by Thor’s thunder and storms. I had given up hope when the gentile wind of Njord parted the dark clouds and filled my sails. I have hidden my treasure up high where I can forever row with Njord’s Oarsmen.

Northri Stronghold is unlocked during the “Family Business” favour. You’ll want to climb up onto the deck of the Reaver’s ship, then go over to the side and drop onto the platform below. There are some wooden planks on the side of the ship that you can destroy to enter the hold and collect the map.

Now you have to locate the two giant Oarsmen on the lake, and climb up the hill near the left statue. The treasure is found on the ledge directly below the torso.

Players will finally receive the Stone of Frost Supremacy, which increases all Frost damage inflicted by 25%.

The Boat Captain’s Key Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Stone Falls.

Clue: With the Boat Captain in the belly of the Hydra, the key was mine! I traveled to a new land, but my shipwrecked and sunk along with my precious key. It lies just below the waves, perched on an underwater peak.

To the northeast on the Lake of Nine, players will find a region named Stone Falls. As soon as you dock on the beach, the God of War Treasure Map can be seen to your right.

The clue leads you towards the Isle of Death, to the southwest of the lake. Climb to the top of this hill, and you should find the treasure beneath the ruins of a crashed ship.

Now you will be rewarded with another Leiptir Alloy, which is used to upgrade pommels with Shock damage effects.

The Historian Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Ruins of the Ancient.

Clue: I wished to make a contribution to Fafnir’s collection of relics. I arrived to find the door locked and Reavers blocking the way I came. I quickly buried my treasure and hid as fast as I could. If I manage to escape, I’ll return to this spot.

Head towards the Ruins of the Ancient to the north of the lake, and you will find the map buried near the back end of the beach. Be warned, though, stepping foot in this area will trigger a mini-boss fight with an Ancient.

Make your way back to Fafnir’s Storeroom, which you should have unlocked by starting the favour “Fafnir’s Hoard.” The treasure can be seen right next to the cave entrance, near the two carved goat head statues.

For your efforts, you will get another Eternal Frost, which can be used to upgrade pommels with Frost damage effects, as well as the Eye of Runic Mastery enhancement.

The Last Place They’d Look Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
The Mountain.

Clue: The Valkyries will hunt me until my last breath. If they seek what is mine, I shall hide it right under their noses.

This God of War Treasure Map can be found when players visit The Mountain for the second time during the quest “Return to the Summit.” It can be found in the section where you fight the Frost Ancient mini-boss.

The treasure itself is found in front of one of the shrines in the Council of Valkyries. This is the arena where you fight the game’s most challenging boss; the Valkyrie Queen Sigrun.

Another Unstable Ore is your reward, which is used to upgrade pommels with Explosive damage effects.

The Turtle’s Tribute Treasure Map

God of War Treasure Map
Witch’s Cave.

Clue: Where the leaves are red, and the moss is green, I buried my treasure where the Tortoise doth dream.

Underneath the Witch’s House, you will find an elaborate series of interconnected tunnels and puzzles. One of these requires Shock Arrows’ use, but it leads into a room with a Chamber of Odin and a treasure map.

It then directs players to go back to the house’s exterior with the giant turtle, then search near its upper left foot for the loot.

You have finally collected the last of the treasures, another Oblivion Stone, that can be used to upgrade pommels with life-draining damage effects. This has been Exputer’s God of War Treasure Map guide.
