Tools in Hades 2 will allow you to get the necessary items to craft new weapons and perform incantations. Throughout your journey in the Underworld, you will get to collect various resources and then use them back at the crossroads to become more powerful. While some of these resources can be collected easily, others will require specific tools. Fortunately, you will be able to acquire all of these tools quite early on in the game.

All Tools In Hades 2 And How To Unlock Them
There are four different tools, each with a specific function that you can unlock in your journey.
Following is a list of all obtainable tools, the recipe, and users:

| Crescent Pick | 1 Ash | This is one of the first tools you will unlock during your runs. Melinoe can use the tool to get minerals from rocks in each region during runs. Every region has different materials for you to obtain. |
| The Tablet Of Peace | 5 Silver, 5 Psyche | During your runs, you will come across large Shades if you have equipped the Tablet Of Peace. By completing their mini-game, you will be rewarded with Psyche. |
| The Silver Spade | 10 Silver | The silver spade can be used to get seeds during your runs. These seeds can then be planted at the soil plots near Odysseus's location. You can unlock these plots by incantations. |
| The Rod Of Fishing | 1 Bronze, 1 Fate Fabric | During certain points of your run, you will come across lakes where you can fish using the rod. |
Fortunately, all of these ingredients needed for the tools can be found easily. Ash and Psyche are very common rewards that you will get during your runs when you defeat enemies. Silver can be collected in Erebus using the Crescent Pick.
To get bronze, you can use the Crescent Pick in the city of Ephyra. Lastly, to get the fate fabric, you could purchase it from the Wretched broker or get it from characters that you come across during your run.
How To Equip And Upgrade Tools
In the second room of the crossroads, you will find all the gathering tools and their requirements.
You will also be able to select weapons in the area.
- Equipping The Tools: They will be in the same place as your weapons, and you can view them by interacting with them near the blue area in the middle. To equip them, simply walk up to the tool and press E.
- Choosing The Right Tools: Keep in mind that you can only equip one at a time, so depending on what resource you want to farm, choose your weapon carefully.
- Upgrading The Tools: After you defeat the final boss in Tartarus, you will be able to upgrade your gathering tools to 2nd rank. Doing so will make them more effective in collecting ingredients for your recipes.
I would recommend unlocking all gathering tools early on in the game. Doing so will allow you to unlock epic weapons that can help you easily overcome the toughest bosses and enemies in Hades 2.
