In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the Bloober Team CEO, Piotr Babieno, asked fans to give devs “a chance” with delivering the Silent Hill 2 remake. He is “dreaming that gamers will” trust the studio, acknowledging that it is “earned through actions.” Therefore, Bloober has gone above and beyond in allegedly developing the best iteration of Silent Hill 2 for the fans.
I am dreaming that gamers will trust us. But I realise that trust is earned through actions, not through words. So that’s why we have a policy of not commenting [on the specifics of the game] and raising hopes. We want to show our ambitions through our work, so we can’t ask for anything more than ‘give us a chance,'” says the CEO.
The studio, known for developing horror entries, understands just how much is riding on this massive project. Bloober Team could win over the fans completely if it manages to nail down the Silent Hill 2 remake, while the opposite could also happen.
Despite technological progress [in video games], so many of us remember [visiting] the town of Silent Hill as one of the most important points in our lives.”

Overall, it is best to take the words of the CEO with a grain of salt until the Silent Hill 2 remake releases. While it looks quite good in the trailer shown so far, there is also a lot of doubt lingering in the community. Regardless, the game is slated to come out on October 8, 2024, for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
