Story Highlights
- The popular co-op survival, Killing Floor 2, has seen a huge boost in active player count.
- It is having a free weekend event, and the 95% sale has also helped the title gain new players.
- The free weekend and the sales are to celebrate the original game’s 15th anniversary.
Tripwire Interactive’s co-op survival shooter, Killing Floor 2, has suddenly seen a massive influx in active player count, as recorded by SteamDB. While it failed to cross the all-time peak of nearly 70k concurrent players set 6 years ago, it saw a rise of over 38k players in the last 24 hours.
This happened because of the recent free weekend event on Steam. It also helps that the game has a 95% off sale for a limited time.
The devs are commemorating the original game’s 15th anniversary, thus leading to the free weekend and the 95% off sale. However, do keep in mind that you can only play the game for free for a limited time. Similarly, the sale is here to stay only for three days.
Killing Floor 2 Is A Fun Co-Op Survival With Full Of Visceral Gore
The sequel’s launch proved to be a stellar hit among players and has continued to age gracefully since then. Having rounds upon rounds of zombie-killing with friends is one of the best ways to enjoy a playthrough. And, it just might be the best time to enjoy the entry for a cheaper price.
For another piece of good news, Tripwire Interactive is actively developing Killing Floor 3, but no concrete release date has been finalized for now.
