The recent mobile entry from Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo Immortal, has been in the hot waters for being both great and terrible at the same time. The game was released only on the 2nd of June 2022, and it has been on the top charts. However, the players complain about the game being extremely “pay to win.”
Diablo Immortal, undoubtedly, had a lot of potential and it could have been the next big mobile game. So, where did it go wrong? We have gone in-depth to find that out, and you can read about it, too. Despite all that, the game has an 81 Metascore on Metacritic.
The Metascore is a combination of six different critics, making it a big deal and hard to swallow for players. On the other hand, the user rating for the game on Metacritic is not so great, having only a 1.0 User Score with 325 user reviews, and increasing.
The game seems to be loved by the critics, but the fans are not happy as the game is heavily ‘pay to win.’ Nonetheless, Diablo Immortal has great gameplay and visuals, making the game appealing, but with not such a great rewarding system.
Having so much to talk about, Diablo Immortal has managed to become the most talked-about iOS game of this year. Diablo Immortal is worth playing, as most critics say, but the players argue otherwise. It’s going to be interesting how other critics will review the game and what conclusions they reach about it.
For now, Diablo Immortal is above the 80 Metascore benchmark, and it might stay there for some more time. However, more critics are going to be reviewing the game, and they might potentially change the Metacritic score to better or worse. In any case, Blizzard Entertainment needs to work on its game to make it playable for more players.
