Fortnite might finally be getting the much-awaited first-person mode, as allegedly confirmed by Epic Games, Diablo Immortal becomes the second-worst user-rated game on Metacritic after being review-bombed, recently filed trademark from Microsoft Corporation suggests that the upcoming CONTRABAND might be an Xbox Game Studios franchise, an accredited industry insider, Jez Corden, confirms that the Xbox Game Studios exclusive, Avowed, will feature guns, and much more.

The videos have proven to be a treat for folks that enjoy the weekly dose of gaming news with some mellow music. 5th episode of the weekly news broadcast is officially out which marks the commencement of the second month of This Week In Gaming.

The last week was full of jam-packed news that ranged from most popular titles making it to headlines to upcoming games that block the horizon with anticipation of fans. Starting with some Call of Duty news, Modern Warfare 2 can now be pre-purchased on Steam. The series is making its return to Steam after parting ways to shake hands with battle.net, back in 2017. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile screenshots have seemingly been leaked on Twitter, revealing a promising Warzone experience on the mobile platform. The leaked images and the gameplay appear to be from a beta version of the title.

Talking about leaks, a new Microsoft game may have been leaked through a new Twitter account. A while ago, the goliath company initiated a new Twitter account for an ostensibly upcoming game and it also contains a Microsoft Azure link in the description.

The critically hailed developers of Frostpunk and This War Is Mine, 11 bit studios are taunting the community with a new game reveal that is due on June 12th. The new teaser is titled “We are not the same.” and the quite small clip shows players a man waking up.

Aperture Desk Job has stolen the spot of the most played game on the new thriving portable, Steam Deck. It is the most played game in May according to user playtime. The game has received a very optimistic reception from the community and fans are loving it despite some battery issues.

Avowed will feature guns as a possible weapon according to a well-renowned industry insider, Jez Corden. The guns are not modernistic but rather muskets that are slow-charging guns from the 17th century. No Man’s Sky and Resident Evil 3 are arriving on macOS through Metal 3.

Apple cites that the upgraded Apple Silicon SoCs will allow AAA titles to run with ease, “The power of Apple silicon enables every new Mac to run AAA games with ease.” They also cited, “The name of this version is Metal 3, which is the most up-to-date one.”

House of The Dead Remake PlayStation 4 update adds PlayStation Move support for the game. The support is only for PlayStation 4 as PlayStation 3 is not compatible with the title. Marvel’s Midnight Suns reveal is on the horizon as suggested by the accredited industry insider, Tom Henderson. He cited the tweet thread holding the retailer leaks to ensure that a reveal is arriving very soon. 

The digital distribution platform, EA Origins is disabling downloads for game extras after the 13th of June. Origins is only available for PC and it features EA titles on its storefront. It also has other items like soundtracks from these games available for download but it has unfortunately been removed. EA is also officially removing FIFA 20 from EA Play from July onwards, suggesting that the recent installment will become available now.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has supposedly sold more than 20 million PlayStation 5’s. The console sold like hot cakes since its inception and despite the staggering shortages of stock, PlayStation 5 has seen a rise in demand.

In the bleakest news of This Week In Gaming, Nobuyuki Ibei Ex-CEO of Sony, who led the digital network has passed away. He died at the age of 84 due to liver disease. All the big names hailed his praises, he was a successful figure in shaping Sony into the goliath it is today.

Epic Games is reportedly working on a first-person mode for Fortnite as a well-acclaimed industry insider in the Fortnite scene, HYPEX suggested. Fans have long awaited an official first-person mode and it is finally becoming a reality. The first-person mode was possible in the past through glitches and mods. Microsoft has filed a new trademark for CONTRABAND, the game in works by Avalanche Studios. CONTRABAND is officially a Microsoft IP.

Diablo Immortal got bombarded on Metacritic with negative user reviews. It held the rating of 1.0 and derailed the rails to become the second-most rated game on Metacritic. The fall to disgrace is due to a very greedy business model and a plethora of micro-transactions. Players also certainly did not enjoy a Diablo installment on mobile.

Fable 4 development is going smoothly according to the widely-credited industry insider, Jez Corden. He iterated in an episode of the Xbox Two Podcast that Fable’s development is going fine. Jez Corden asserts to participate in the gameplay showcasing of Fable 4, where he has got all his information.

Moreover, Fable and perfect dark are allegedly not part of the Xbox Game Studios event, as the prominent industry insider, Jeff Grubb cited. In an episode of his GiantBomb podcast on Twitch, Jeff Grubb uttered that Fable and Perfect Dark will not be making a debut reveal in the approaching Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022.

Battlefield 2042 is reportedly down to a skeleton crew as Jeff Grubb, the accredited industry insider cited in an episode of GiantBomb Podcast. He elaborated, “It’s down to like the bare bones and those people are specifically just working on the promised additional seasons that the game needs to meet the requirements of the high-end version that is sold.”
