House Of The Dead Remake PS4 Update Adds PlayStation Move Support

Dust off your PS Move and prepare to purge the Curien Mansion!

House of the Dead is among the most influential horror games of the 90s. The title is credited for popularizing the zombie horror genre in video games. House of the Dead grabbed the attention of arcade enthusiasts and resulted in a bundle of coins after each failed attempt to subjugate its short campaign.

The game features grotesque zombie-Esque monsters called mutants that lunge at you during quick reaction times while you have to blow their brains out to silence them. The light gun shooter title has become a nostalgic masterpiece that is still reminisced by gamers for its adrenaline-inducing experience.

The alluring creepy mansion owned by Dr. Curien can be experienced again through the lens of modern graphics thanks to the new House of the Dead Remake. It is a 1-for-1 remake of the authentic House of the Dead and has been well-received by critics and players alike.

The developers have recently announced support for the PlayStation Move controller that had been shelved away by most gamers; it is time to wipe off the dust. The unexpected update supposedly adds support for the PlayStation Move so the mutants can be hunted down with a motion-sensing controller. The Move was initially released for PlayStation 3, but its compatibility was extended to PlayStation 4 down the line.

The update only adds support for PlayStation 4 console. The Move employs inertial sensors in the wand to detect motion while the wand’s position is traced using a PlayStation Eye or PlayStation Camera. In reply to a curious fan, the developers cited in a tweet that PlayStation 3 camera does not support the House of the Dead Remake.

The House of the Dead Remake was released a couple of months ago in April 2022 for PS4 and was initially exclusive to the hand-held Nintendo Switch for a short course of time. Since then, the Remake has come out on a myriad of platforms including Stadia.
