EA Are Removing FIFA 20 From EA Play

This mostly means that the latest entry will become available now

Our gaming industry has a diverse range of products that players can enjoy. Video games from all kind of genres come out each year and most of them are great quality. But, there are a handful of titles which rule this really wide industry, one of them is FIFA.

Its impossible to be a gamer in the modern age without playing FIFA at least once. Even if you aren’t interested in the single player and online aspects of the game, its couch multiplayer is you must have played. Buying FIFA is an obvious way to get these games but they are also available on EA Play for free.

EA puts all of their FIFA titles on the service at the end of their cycle and refreshes the library. So, you can actually play these games without buying but you will have to wait a year. A new notice on the EA website tells us that this years title might be coming to the service soon.

EA have announced in their online service updates notice that FIFA 20 will not be playable on EA Play. The main title in the series from 2019 will not be available for the players after July 1, 2022. According to the notice the game will not be on the service’s play list from July onwards.

Now, you might be thinking that is a sad news considering how a game is leaving EA Play. But, it is actually a good thing for players as it means the latest version of FIFA will be coming to the service. EA have always removed the title from two years ago before adding the newest one.

Hence, we are might be getting our hand on FIFA 22 when it becomes available on EA Play. Also, EA Play isn’t the only place the game will be arriving on free. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will also get the football simulation game now that FIFA 20 is leaving.

Both of these membership services will get one of the highest selling games of the past year very soon. No date has been given for the free release of FIFA 22 as of now. However, it most probably will be next month at the earliest.

Therefore, you should look forward to early July to see the game on EA Play and Game Pass. Sony’s PlayStation Plus already got the game in the month of May so bringing it to Xbox now makes sense. Hopefully it is sooner rather than later.
