Elden Ring Streamer Proves That New DLC Is Not As Difficult As Gamers Think

Story Highlights

  • Elden Ring streamer Perrikaryal has defeated Shadow of the Erdtree’s first boss using brainwaves.
  • She tackled the boss with only mind control, destroying the notion that DLC is extremely difficult.
  • The expansion has received mixed reviews on Steam because of the difficulty spike.

The popular Elden Ring streamer Perrikaryal has defeated Shadow of the Erdtree’s first boss using only brainwaves. She took to Twitter to announce the massive achievement to the world. A detailed Twitch livestream also clarified how she defeated the Divine Beast Dancing Lion using mind control. She used an EEG-powered, head-mounted controller with a built-in gyroscope that turned her thoughts into movements using brainwaves.

Perrikaryal is known for defeating the game bosses using various quirky and difficult methods. However, this new milestone has further dismantled the current belief that Shadow of the Erdtree has an intensely unfair difficulty spike. In other words, if a player can defeat such a tough boss using only mind control, then simple gameplay methods shouldn’t be so hard despite some added difficulty.

Elden Ring DLC Has Seen Mixed Reviews Because Of High Difficulty

FromSoftware never compromises on difficulty when it comes to their Souls genre. However, the game’s open world gives players an advantage to face challenges on their own accord. So, the community has found it absurd for the expansion to receive mixed ratings on Steam because of hard-to-tackle enemies. In fact, many reckon that this might have been a review bombing attempt by apparently salty players.
