The Astrologer Class focuses on sorceries in Elden Ring, however, to get the most out of it players need to equip a decent armor too. As you already know, Elden Ring provides tons of different classes which can further be used to make unique builds. Within the huge pool of Elden Ring Builds, Astrologers and Mages are one of the most used by players. Hence, if you’re one of those players it’s worth learning about some of the Best Astrologer Armor in Elden Ring.

Armor Sets are a crucial aspect of Elden Ring. Not only do they enhance a particular resistance of the player but they also provide damage negations. So to make a perfect build, you need to focus on getting a good armor set which usually consists of 4 pieces.
The Best Astrologer Armor Elden Ring should focus on providing high resistance, damage negations and also provide a considerable boost to the base stats of the Astrologer class. To be more specific, because you’ll be mostly using spells and won’t be doing much melee combat, you should choose armor sets with a high Magic Damage Negation stat.
Spellblade Set is one of the first armor that comes to mind when I talk about magic-based builds in Elden Ring. The set’s appearance may not appeal to everyone. However, the Spellblade Set offers some decent stats, buffs, and damage negation, which can help you immensely.
Here are all the armor pieces of Spellblade Set in Elden Ring:
- Helm: Spellblade Pointed Hat.
- Gauntlets: Spellblade Gloves.
- Chest Armor: Spellblade Traveling Attire.
- Leg Armor: Spellblade Trousers.
The complete Spellblade Set offers 25.11 Magic and 25.1 Holy Damage negation. On top of that, it also boosts the damage dealt from Magic Ashes of War by 2% per piece (which means you can stack it up to 8% with the complete set). Considering all the factors, the Spellblade Set is a great Elden Ring Astrologer armor option for early and mid-game.
How To Get?
To obtain the Spellblade Set in Elden Ring, players will need to find an NPC called Sorcerer Rogier. He can initially be found at Stormveil Castle. From there on you will need to follow down his questline and eventually Rogier will end up in the Roundtable Hold.
After completing Rogier’s quests and getting into Ranni’s questline players can simply go to the Roundtable Hold and acquire the Spellblade Set from the dying Sorcerer Rogier.
Crucible Axe Set
The Crucible Axe Set is not your usual Mage/Astrologer Set. This one is a heavy-duty armor set that provides outstanding damage negations along with steady physical and magical defenses. If you’re someone who’s not 100% relied on Magic with the Astrologer class, then the Crucible Axe Set is the perfect fit for you!
Here are all the armor pieces of Crucible Axe Set in Elden Ring:
- Helm: Crucible Axe Helm.
- Gauntlets: Crucible Axe Gauntlets.
- Chest Armor: Crucible Axe Armor.
- Leg Armor: Crucible Axe Greaves.
Along with high values in damage negations, you can also exploit the Resistances that the Crucible Axe Set provides. For example 120 in Immunity and 170 in Robustness, which means you’re safe against multiple status effects in Elden Ring. The 25.6 magic damage negation is another valuable point that deems this as one of the Best Astrologer Armor Elden Ring.
That’s not all, the Crucible Axe Set in Elden Ring also grants a 17% increase in damage when you’re wearing the full set. On top of that, every time you use an Aspect of the Crucible Incantation the damage inflicted through it will be 4% higher on each piece (can be stacked to 16%). The Carian Knight Set is also considered one of the Best Elden Ring late-game armor sets.
How To Get?
Players can get the Crucible Axe Set by defeating the Crucible Knight Ordovis boss. He is an optional Elden Ring Boss which can be found in Auriza Hero’s Grave. However, do not underestimate the Crucible Knight Ordovis. He is a heavy boss who uses a greatsword and a shield.
Once you manage to beat the Crucible Knight Ordovis you will acquire the Crucible Axe set along with 28,000 Runes and Ordovis’s Greatsword.
Snow Witch Set
As an Astrologer, your go-to weapon would be the Staff which means you won’t be getting into physical combat a lot. When you consider an Astrologer Armor the Snow Witch Set should surely be in the top 3 sets that pop into your mind. Its appearance may not be the best but it offers some outstanding stats which perfectly compliments every Astrologer Build in Elden Ring.
Here are all the armor pieces of Snow Witch Set in Elden Ring:
- Helm: Snow Witch Hat.
- Chest Armor: Snow Witch Robe.
- Leg Armor: Snow Witch Skirt.
The Snow Witch Astrologer Set in Elden Ring dons a 23.4 rating in Magic, Fire, and Holy Damage negation. Additionally, the Snow Witch Hat armor piece increases the Cold Sorcery by 10%. However, it does really poorly in Physical Damage negation so it’s best not to use it if you’re planning to take part in melee combat.
How To Get?
In order to obtain the Snow Witch Set in Elden Ring, players will need to travel to the North-west corner of the Lands Between map to a location called Renna’s Rise. Although, the armor will only be available if you have progressed through Ranni’s questline.
Once you have, head to Renna’s Rise tower and use the elevator to go up. Once it reaches the next level turn around and you’ll notice a chest that holds the Snow Witch Set.
Azur’s Glintstone Set
Similar to the Snow Witch Set, the Azur’s Glintstone Set is yet another popular choice of armor for Astrologer and Sorcerer builds. The Azur’s Glintstone Set is also a good-looking armor as compared to the sets we mentioned earlier. Nonetheless, it holds a secure spot on my list as it has one of the highest Magic damage negation.
- Helm: Azur’s Glintstone Crown.
- Gauntlets: Azur’s Manchettes.
- Chest Armor: Azur’s Glintstone Robe.
- Leg Armor: Old Sorcerer’s Legwraps.
As mentioned earlier, the Azur Glintstone Set comes with a whopping 29.2 Magic damage negation. On top of that, it also has 186 Vitality and 204 Focus resistance. Lastly, the Azur’s Glintstone Crown adds the following buffs and nerfs:
- Comet Azur does 15% increased damage.
- Comet does 10% increased damage.
- Glintstone Cometshard does 10% increased damage.
- FP Costs are increased by 15% for Sorceries.
How To Get?
Obtaining the Azur’s Glintstone Armor set can be a lengthy task because you need to complete the Sorceress Sellen’s quest line. Not only that, but you also need to kill Witch Hunter Jerren and side with Sellen. After that, interact with Sellen to acquire the Glintstone Kris weapon and unlock the pathway to obtain the Azur Glinstone Set.
You will then need to go back to Primeval’s Sorcerer Azur’s location in Hermit Village. There you can pick up the Azur’s Glintstone Armor set.
The Sage Set packs all the right stats which flawlessly complement a Mage/Astrologer build. The Sage Armor Set is a light armor that greatly boosts Magic damage negation. Just like the others, it’s not that tanky against physical damage. The Sage Set is a great shout for Astrologer classes, however, in my opinion, it isn’t the best option out there.
If you enjoyed using the initial Astrologer Set then you’ll surely love the Sage Set in Elden Ring. Nevertheless here are all the pieces you need to complete the Sage Set:
- Helm: Sage Hood.
- Chest Armor: Sage Robe.
- Leg Armor: Sage Trouser.
As far as stats are concerned, a complete Sage set offers 23.9 Magic damage negation. Not only that you’d also be getting 23 and 23.9 in light and holy damage negation too. On the other hand, the set also offers 141 Focus and 150 Vitality resistance.
How To Get?
To acquire the Sage Set the player will need to journey toward the Liurnia of Lakes region. Here head to the Stillwater Cave and follow down the path on the right side. Beware, you will face multiple enemies along the way including Giant Bats and Servants of Rot.
Eventually, you will reach an enclosed space within the cave. The sage set can be found as dropped loot next to one of the bodies.
Blackflame Monk Set
The Blackflame Monk Set is not what your basic Astrologer Armor has to offer, the same can be said for its appearance. However, if you’re planning to go for a versatile playthrough with the Astrologer class then the Blackflame Monk Armor is worth a shot. The aesthetics of the armor is one of the best as compared to other sets on this list. On top of that, it grants decent damage negation in all sectors.
Here’s a quick look at all the Blackflame Monk Armor pieces:
- Helm: Blackflame Monk Hood.
- Gauntlets: Blackflame Monk Gauntlets.
- Chest Armor: Blackflame Monk Armor.
- Leg Armor: Blackflame Monk Greaves.
Unlike the other armor sets in this list, the Blackflame Monk Armor provides a decent (26.1) Physical damage negation. It also offers 19.8 magic damage negation, which may not seem enough but should be good enough up till mid-game.
How To Get?
There isn’t any specific method of getting the Blackflame Monk Set in Elden Ring. The pieces of the set are randomly dropped by Blackflame Monks every time you kill them. So in order to obtain the set all you need to do is slay a bunch of Blackflame Monks and hope for the best. Here are some areas where you can easily encounter Blackflame Monks:
- Volcano Manor.
- Divine Tower of Caelid.
Believe it or not, the Astrologer Set itself is also a great option to roll with in Elden Ring. This is the starting armor set that you will get with the Astrologer class. As long as you’re relying on incantations and sorceries from afar, the Astrologer Set will do its job impressively, especially in the early game.
The Astrologer Set has a gray tone and makes use of a hood, much like all the other Mage/Magic-based armor sets. Nevertheless, let’s now check out all the pieces that complete the Astrologer Set in Elden Ring:
- Helm: Astrologer Hood.
- Gauntlets: Astrologer Gloves.
- Chest Armor: Astrologer Robe.
- Leg Armor: Astrologer Trousers.
A complete Astrologer Set offers a 201 Focus Resistance and 171 Vitality Resistance. These will help the player overcome the Sleep effect and also have a harder time dying because of the increased Vitality. Additionally, you will also get 26.7 magic damage negation while wearing the Astrologer Set. All in all, the set is the Best Astrologer armor in Elden ring for early game.
How To Get?
The Astrologer Set is the starting armor for the Astrologer Class. Hence, it’s extremely easy to get, you may already have it if you went with the Astrologer class in the beginning. However, players can also purchase the Astrologer set for 4500 Runes from the Nomadic Merchant found at the Liurnia of the Lakes.
Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set
The Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set is always a great option to go for with the Mage or Astrologer build in Elden Ring. It’s lightweight, goes well along with players who are focused on the Intelligence Stat, and also has decent damage negation and resistance stats to get you through the early game. However, the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set may not be the best armor once you reach the late game.
The Raya Lucarian Sorcerer headpiece is rather unique. Players get the option of obtaining different Crowns for the set which they can equip to complete the set. However, the Twinsage Glintstone Crown is the most used out of all the others.
Moving on, here are all the pieces you need to get to complete the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set:
- Helm: Olivinus Glinstone Crown, Karolos Glintstone Crown, Twinsage Glintstone Crown, or Witch’s Glintstone Crown.
- Gauntlets: Sorcerer Manchettes.
- Chest Armor: Raya Lucarian Robe.
- Leg Armor: Sorcerer Leggings.
Since the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set is an early-game armor, it does not have high-value stats as some of the other sets on this list. Nevertheless, with a complete set equipped you will get 16.5 magic and 23.5 fire damage negation. Meanwhile, players will also obtain 135 focus and 110 robustness resistances. In my opinion, the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set is one of the Best Astrologer sets for the early game.
How To Get?
The Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set is pretty easy to get for the most part. Players can obtain the Raya Lucarian Robe, Sorcerer Leggings, and Sorcerer Manchettes by simply farming Twinsage Sorceres and Glintstone Sorceres. You can easily find these enemies in the Raya Lucaria Academy.
However, acquiring the headpieces for the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set is another task. You can find them within Raya Lucaria Academy too but some of the crowns can also be obtained at the “Debate Parlor” Site of Grace and “Schoolhouse Classroom” Site of Grace.
Carian Knight Set
The Carian Knight Set seems like an odd choice when thinking about the Astrologer armor. It’s not lightweight plus it’s not necessarily meant for a Mage build. So why? Well, the Carian Knight Set armor may be a little bulky but it provides some amazing damage negation and resistance stats, which can elevate any build setup in Elden Ring. It has the perfect blend of physical and magical defenses.
The appearance of the armor is exactly what you’d expect a knight to look like, however, it comes alongside a few additional aesthetics of jewels and a robe. Here are all the armor pieces of the Carian Knight Set:
- Helm: Carian Knight Helm.
- Gauntlets: Carian Knight Gauntlets.
- Chest Armor: Carian Knight Armor.
- Leg Armor: Carian Knight Greaves.
As mentioned earlier, the Carian Knight Set is well-fortified against both Magical and Physical attacks. When it comes to the statistics, with a complete Carian Knight Set you will get 23.5 Physical and 24.5 Magic Damage negation. Apart from that players also get decent values on other damage negation attributes.
How To Get?To get the Carian Knight Set players will first need to travel to the Church of the Cuckoo. From here you will need to follow a trail that leads through the yard, wooden bridge, and graveyard. Within the graveyard go behind the tree which has a torch attached to it.
Drop down from the ledge onto the cliff which has three enemies worshipping a tombstone. Kill them and then pick the Carian Knight Set placed next to the Tombstone.
Lusat’s Set is by far the Best Astrologer armor set in Elden Ring. It also has a really cool look going on which suits the Astrologer class very well. The crown/headpiece of the Lusat’s Set also grants a buff to the player. Not only that, the set has one of the highest Magic damage negations in the game!
Before, getting into the stats, let’s check all the pieces that make up the Lusat’s Set:
- Helm: Lusat’s Glintstone Crown.
- Gauntlets: Lusat’s Manchettes.
- Chest Armor: Lusat’s Robe.
- Leg Armor: Old Sorcerer’s Legwraps.
While wearing the full Lusat’s Set in Elden Ring you will have 29 Magic damage negation, the elemental damage negations are also quite decent on this set. Secondly, the armor set also offers 209 Vitality, 181 Focus, and 109 Immunity resistances. Lastly, the Lusat’s Glintstone Crown also has some of its own buffs that come with a slight cost too:
- 15% Increased damage on Stars of Ruin.
- 10% increased damage on Star Shower and Glintstone Stars.
- Sorceries FP cost gets increased by 15%.
How To Get?
Similar to the Azur’s Glintstone Set, the Lusat’s Set can also be obtained after playing through Sellen’s Questline in Elden Ring. After you complete her quests and finally side with her, you will then need to seek out another NPC, Master Lusat.
After you side with Sellen, return to the spot where Master Lusat usually is in the Sellia Hideway. Once there, you will find the Lusat Set placed on the ground at Master Lusat’s location.
Errant Sorcerer Set
Rounding up the best astrologer armor Elden Ring list, I decided to go with the Errant Sorcerer Set. It may not be as popular among the Astrologer players, but in my opinion, it’s a viable choice. Just like the other Astrologer Sets, it’s extremely light and does not stand well against Physical damage. However, the appearance and the Magic and elemental damage negation are what make it stand out for the Astrologer class.
Here’s a quick look at the pieces of the Errant Sorcerer Set:
- Helm: Hierodas Glintstone Crown.
- Gauntlets: Errant Sorcerer Manchettes.
- Chest Armor: Errant Sorcerer Robe.
- Leg Armor: Errant Sorcerer Boots.
The Errant Sorcerer Set comes with a 25.9 Magic damage negation. Other than that, it also has 25.9 Holy damage negation. However, the Physical damage negation only stands at 9.7 so it’s best to forget about any melee combat with the enemies.
How To Get?
The Errant Sorcerer Set is fairly easy to get. It can be found as dropped loot on two different corpses found within the Hermit Village. You can obtain gauntlets, chest armor, and leg armor by looting a dead body (inside a house) in the northwest tip of the village.
As for the Helm, or the Hierodos Glintstone Crown, you will need to go to the southern parts of the Hermit Village. There is a house here, and behind it is a dead body from which you can obtain the headpiece.
That’s about it from the Best Astrologer Sets in Elden Ring. I tried including a nice variation of armor sets. Some of these were also decent at holding themselves against physical damage such as the Carian Knight Set and the Crucible Axe Set. While most were totally dependent on playstyles that utilize sorceries and incantations such as Lusat’s Set and the Errant Sorcerer Set.
