The Astrologer Class focuses on sorceries in Elden Ring; however, to get the most out of it, you need to equip a decent armor, too. As you already know, Elden Ring provides many different classes that can further be used to make unique builds. Within the huge pool of Elden Ring Builds, Astrologers and Mages are among the most used by players, and I’m certainly one of them. Hence, if you’re aiming to be one, too, learning about some of the Best Astrologer Armor in Elden Ring is worth your time.

Here’s a quick look at my best picks for the Astrologer Armor Sets:

The Best Astrologer Armor Elden Ring should focus on providing high resistance damage negations and also provide a considerable boost to the base stats of the Astrologer class. To be more specific, because you’ll be mostly using spells and won’t be doing much melee combat, you should choose armor sets with a high Magic Damage Negation stat.

1. Spellblade Set

Spellblade Set is one of the first armor that comes to mind when I talk about magic-based builds in Elden Ring. The Spellblade Set offers some decent stats, buffs, and damage negation, which can help you immensely.

How To Get?

You can get the Crucible Axe Set by defeating the Crucible Knight Ordovis boss. He is an optional Elden Ring Boss in Auriza Hero’s Grave. However, do not underestimate the Crucible Knight Ordovis. He is a heavy boss who uses a greatsword and a shield.

With an increase of 1 point in weight, you can achieve even bettter stats in Scaled Set, which can be obatined during Volcano manor questline.

3. Snow Witch Set

As an Astrologer, your go-to weapon would be the Staff, which means you won’t get into physical combat often. When considering an Astrologer Armor, the Snow Witch Set should surely be in the top 3 sets that pop into my mind. Its appearance may not be the best but it offers some outstanding stats which perfectly compliments every Astrologer Build in Elden Ring.

• Chest Armor: Snow Witch Robe.
• Leg Armor: Snow Witch Skirt.

How To Get?

To obtain the Snow Witch Set in Elden Ring, I suggest you to travel to the northwest corner of the Lands Between map to a location called Renna’s Rise.

4. Azur’s Glintstone Set

Like the Snow Witch Set, the Azur’s Glintstone Set is another popular armor choice for Astrologer and Sorcerer builds. Whenever I wished to play as a Comet Azur sorcerer, this set was my first choice. Thus, the Azur’s Glintstone Set holds a secure spot on my list as it has one of the highest Magic damage negation.

Besides being a great Astrologer armor, the Azur’s Glintstone Set is also considered the Best Mage Armor Set in Elden Ring. Here are all the armor pieces of Azur’s Glintstone Set in Elden Ring:

• Helm: Azur’s Glintstone Crown.
• Gauntlets: Azur’s Manchettes.
• Chest Armor: Azur’s Glintstone Robe.
• Leg Armor: Old Sorcerer’s Legwraps.

How To Get?

Obtaining the Azur’s Glintstone Armor set can be a lengthy task because you must complete the Sorceress Sellen’s quest line.

5. Sage Set

The Sage Set packs all the right stats, which flawlessly complement a Mage/Astrologer build.  The Sage Armor Set is a light armor that greatly boosts Magic damage negation, and that’s also one of my reasons for liking it; it requires no Endurance investment. Just like the others, it’s not that tanky against physical damage. The Sage Set is a great shout for Astrologer classes; however, in my opinion, it isn’t the best option out there.

If you enjoyed using the initial Astrologer Set, you’ll love the Sage Set in Elden Ring. Nevertheless, here are all the pieces you need to complete the Sage Set:

• Chest Armor: Sage Robe.
• Leg Armor: Sage Trouser.

How To Get?

To get the Sage Set in Liurnia of Lakes, go to Stillwater Cave and follow the right path. In an enclosed cave space, you’ll find the Sage Set as loot next to a body.

For equal weight and higher Resistance stats as well as defenses, I recommend using the Alberich’s Set instead.

6. Blackflame Monk Set

When I wished to play a hybrid build with both magic and some melee action, I found that the Blackflame Monk Armor does the job pretty well. Thus, If you’re planning to go for a versatile playthrough with the Astrologer class, then the Blackflame Monk Armor is worth a shot. It grants decent damage negation in all sectors.

They can be found in the following areas:

• Volcano Manor.
• Divine Tower of Caelid.

For comparative results in terms of defenses and resistances, you can also opt for the Fire Monk Set.

7. Astrologer Set

Believe it or not, the Astrologer Set is also a great option to roll with in Elden Ring. This is the starting armor set you will get with the Astrologer class. As long as you rely on incantations and sorceries from afar, the Astrologer Set will impressively do its job, especially in the early game.

• Helm: Astrologer Hood.
• Gauntlets: Astrologer Gloves.
• Chest Armor: Astrologer Robe.
• Leg Armor: Astrologer Trousers.

How To Get?

The Astrologer Set is the starting armor for the Astrologer Class. You can also purchase the Astrologer set for 4500 Runes from the Nomadic Merchant found at the Liurnia of the Lakes.

8. Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set

The Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set is always a great option to go for with the Mage or Astrologer build in Elden Ring. It’s lightweight, goes well if you are focused on the Intelligence Stat, and has decent damage negation and resistance stats to get you through the early game. However, I consider the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set not the best armor once you reach the late game.

Moving on, here are all the pieces you need to get to complete the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set:

• Helm: Olivinus Glinstone Crown, Karolos Glintstone Crown, Twinsage Glintstone Crown, or Witch’s Glintstone Crown.
• Gauntlets: Sorcerer Manchettes.
• Chest Armor: Raya Lucarian Robe.
• Leg Armor: Sorcerer Leggings.

How To Get?

To obtain the Raya Lucarian Robe, Sorcerer Leggings, and Sorcerer Manchettes, simply defeat Twinsage Sorceres and Glintstone Sorceres in the Raya Lucaria Academy.

If you are having trouble obtaining the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set, I advise you to go for the Battlemage Set, which has massive upgrade in terms of both defenses and stat resistances with lighter weight.

9. Carian Knight Set

You might think the Carian Knight Set seems like an odd choice for Astrologer armor. It’s not lightweight or necessarily meant for a Mage build. So why? Well, I have my reasons for this. The Carian Knight Set armor may be a little bulky, but it provides some amazing damage negation and resistance stats, which can elevate any build setup in Elden Ring. It has the perfect blend of physical and magical defenses.

Here are all the armor pieces of the Carian Knight Set:

• Helm: Carian Knight Helm.
• Gauntlets: Carian Knight Gauntlets.
• Chest Armor: Carian Knight Armor.
• Leg Armor: Carian Knight Greaves.

How To Get?

• Travel to the Church of the Cuckoo.
• Follow the trail through the yard, wooden bridge, and graveyard.
• Behind the tree with a torch attached, drop down from the ledge.
• Eliminate the three enemies worshipping a tombstone.
• Collect the Carian Knight Set next to the Tombstone.

10. Lusat’s Set

If you ask me, Lusat’s Set is by far the Best Astrologer armor set in Elden Ring. It also has a cool look, which suits the Astrologer class very well. The crown/headpiece of the Lusat’s Set also grants a buff to you. Also, the set has one of the highest Magic damage negations in the game, and I recommend giving it a try if you want some strong mage builds.

Before getting into the stats, let’s check all the pieces that make up the Lusat’s Set:

• Helm: Lusat’s Glintstone Crown.
• Gauntlets: Lusat’s Manchettes.
• Chest Armor: Lusat’s Robe.
• Leg Armor: Old Sorcerer’s Legwraps.

How To Get?

Similar to the Azur’s Glintstone Set, the Lusat’s Set can also be obtained after playing through Sellen’s Questline in Elden Ring.

11. Errant Sorcerer Set

Rounding up the best astrologer armor Elden Ring list, I chose the Errant Sorcerer Set. It may not be as popular among the Astrologer players, but in my opinion, it’s a viable choice. Like the other Astrologer Sets, it’s extremely light and does not stand well against Physical damage. However, the appearance and the Magic and elemental damage negation are what make it stand out for the Astrologer class.

Here’s a quick look at the pieces of the Errant Sorcerer Set:

• Helm: Hierodas Glintstone Crown.
• Gauntlets: Errant Sorcerer Manchettes.
• Chest Armor: Errant Sorcerer Robe.
• Leg Armor: Errant Sorcerer Boots.

How To Get?

• For gauntlets, chest armor, and leg armor, loot a corpse inside a house at the northwest tip of the Hermit Village.
• To obtain the helm (Hierodos Glintstone Crown), go to the southern part of Hermit Village, behind a house, and collect it from a dead body.

If you can afford a little more weight, then I suggest you to go for Depraved Perfumer Set, which has almost equal stats to Errant Sorcerer Set.

My Choice For The Astrologer Set In Elden Ring

For the early game, I’d strongly recommend sticking with the classic Astrologer Set. It offers decent stats all around with good resistance. However, if you want something that’s a little sturdier and cooler, you can also go for the Carian Knight Set. After reaching Mt. Gelmir and completing the Sorcerror Sellen’s questline, definitely go for the Lusat or Azur Glintstone set, not only for the stats but for the supreme sorcerror look as well.

That’s about it from the Best Astrologer Sets in Elden Ring. I tried including a nice variation of armor sets. Some of these were also decent at holding themselves against physical damage, such as the Carian Knight Set and the Crucible Axe Set. Most were totally dependent on playstyles that utilize sorceries and incantations, such as Lusat’s Set and the Errant Sorcerer Set.
