Elden Ring: Academy Glintstone Key Location

The Academy Glintstone key is one of the most important items in Elden Ring. This key can be used to open the two sealed gates of the Academy and access the items inside. Like other key items, it can be found in a specific location or obtained by certain NPCs. You will need the key to access Academy and open its two sealed gates. 

Glintstone Key Location

You will be able to obtain two of these keys in Elden Ring, one near the Liurnia Of The Lakes and one near the Raya Lucaria Academy itself. 

You will be required to collect both of them as they are a part of the Thops questline in Elden Ring as well. Below you will see a step-by-step process to reach the location of the Elden Ring Glintstone Key and use it to access the Raya Lucaria Academy. 

Head Towards Raya Lucaria 

In order to obtain the first glintstone Academy key, you will be required to head toward the western side of the Raya Lucaria Academy.

This key will be located near the temple quarter in Elden Ring, and you can access this location easily by following the map. 

1. As soon as you reach the temple quarter, you will be required to go straight ahead and go toward the ruins in that area. 
2. These rooms will be located on the northwestern side of the map, and you will also see a site of grace here. 
3. Rest at this site of grace, and you will also be able to reset any enemies in the area nearby. 
4. As soon as you’re done, leave the site of grace and go straight ahead towards the northern side. 
5. You will need to make your way toward the floating scarabs and look for a massive sleeping dragon nearby. 
6. This sleeping dragon is the Glintstone Dragon Smarag which can give you a tough time if not countered properly. 
7. Fortunately, you will not be required to fight and defeat the dragon to reach the Glintstone key. 
8. This key can be accessed by sneaking past the dragon and looking around him. 
9. There will be a corpse of a dead sorcerer nearby, which will hold the Elden Ring Glintstone Key. 
10. After obtaining the key, travel back to the Southern Raya Lucaria academy gate. 

After that, you will be able to use the Glintstone key on the gate to open and access the Academy of Raya Lucaria. 

Thops Quest Line 

After you have obtained your Glintstone key, you can then proceed further in Thops questline in Elden ring and obtain the Glintstone staff.

When you successfully reach Liurnia and defeat the boss, you must look for the Church of Irith. 

1. You can access the church using the map and find a sorcerer there named Thops. 
2. This sorcerer requires you to look for an Elden Ring Glintstone Key to complete his quest line. 
3. Remember that you will already have used the Glintstone key you acquired previously to open the Raya Lucaria Academy door. 
4. Therefore, you will need a second Glintstone key which can also be found in the Academy of Raya Lucaria. 
5. Make your way toward the Academy of Raya Lucaria and enter the debate parlor. 
6. Then you just need to continue with your main quest and fight that Red Wolf Of Radagon to progress ahead. 
7. As soon as you defeat the boss, there will be a site of grace nearby. 
8. You need to rest at this site of grace before heading out into the large courtyard. 
9. Keep going in the northern direction until you reach this large courtyard; from here, keep moving forward until you reach outside. 
10. From here, you need to make a sharp left and climb up the staircase. 
11. Soon you will reach a ledge where there will be some enemies as well that you need to fight. 
12. After that, you need to keep moving forward until you reach all others, and on the top, you will find a path that will lead towards the right side of the tower. 

Completing The Quest

Jumped across the rooftops and made a way toward the Church of Cuckoo. When you reach the rooftop of the Church of Cuckoo, you need to open a window here and go inside. 

1. There will be a series of chandeliers here, and one will have a corpse on it. 
2. When you loot the corpse, you can obtain the second Academy Glintstone key, which can help you complete the quest line of Thops in the Elden ring. 
3. As soon as you give Thops the Glintstone key, you will need to move towards the schoolhouse classroom site of lost grace and go outside and find and interact with Thops. 
4. Unfortunately, he will be dead by then, but you will be able to loot his body to get a Glintstone staff, a Thops barrier spell, and a bell bearing.
