Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels Surpass 1 Million Players

The extremely popular DLC surpassed a whopping 1 million players in just 12 days.

In Forza Horizon 5, we explore the vibrant and ever-evolving open world landscapes of Mexico with some of the greatest cars ever conceived by man. Explore a world of striking contrast and beauty, discover living deserts, lush jungles, historic cities, hidden ruins, pristine beaches, vast canyons and a towering snow-capped volcano. All while in the comforts of your 2 million dollar vehicle.

Forza Horizon 5 has a large amount of DLC. Some of its more noticeable ones were Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass, Forza Horizon 5 VIP, and the latest and possibly one of the greatest, Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels. This new DLC entails the jaw-dropping new Horizon Hot Wheels Park in the clouds high above Mexico.

Recently, this hit DLC achieved a massive milestone of over 1 million players in barely half a month on the Xbox Live service. This is no small feat for any of the games downloadable content as many of the titles other smaller DLC do not reach this level this fast.

These are only the online players currently playing live, the amount of copies sold is most probably much higher than it is depicted here. Despite the large amount of players, reviews on Steam dictate that the new flaring content is mediocre with opposed opinions.

Another thing players are declaring is that from 20 million players, only 1 million actually decided to buy the DLC. This could be explained by the fact that the players want new mechanics and new gameplay experiences rather than joining with a popular brand and releasing new maps and cars every so often.

But bad reviews aside, the franchise has been exceedingly popular, and for good cause. Achieving milestones like overtaking Warzone as the most played game on XBOX was one of its greatest achievements. What do you think about the new and flashy DLC? let us know in the comments below.
