Forza Horizon 5 Overtakes Warzone as Most Played Game on XBOX

In yet another milestone for Forza Horizon 5, it has now surpassed Fortnite as the most played game on the XBOX. The game now stands as the No.2 most popular game on the platform second only to the mainstream giant that is Call of Duty Warzone. And it remains to be seen whether it can surpass even Warzone in due time. 

The game has been a massive commercial success for Microsoft garnering over a million players mere days after its release. The game had already cross over 800k players 3 days before its release with players rushing in to buy the early access deluxe version of the game.

Forza Horizon 5 has quickly been ascending to an insane level with players all over the world playing the game not only through buying the game but also through Microsoft’s absurdly generous Game Pass service. I personally haven’t had the chance to play the game yet but just seeing the game overwhelmingly positive reviews is a sight to behold. What I’ve also noticed that another sight that everyone should behold is the game’s breathtaking visuals as Forza is by far the best looking racing game I’ve ever laid my eyes on. 

Microsoft has always been delivering high quality racing games with the Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport series, with 2018’s Forza Horizon 4 having a splendid 88% on Metacritic(PC) (92% on Xbox). Forza Horizon 5 surpasses PC with a slight difference – 91% aggregate score on Metacritic (PC) and 92% (Xbox Series X). Many critics have cited this game as not only a technical benchmark but also as a new bar for every upcoming racing game to cross. This alone puts Forza Horizon 5 among some of the highest rated racing games of all time. We can only anticipate how Playground Games themselves when it comes the time for a Horizon 6. 

Update: While finishing the article, Forza Horizon 5 has surprisingly overtaken Call of Duty Warzone as the most played XBOX Game.
