These elements include ray-traced shadows and reflections. Following the latest update, visual consistency among reflections and shadows augmented by ray tracing will have a greater level. Moreover, other aspects of Rift Apart have also been improved to provide a smoother experience.

Up until now, playing the game on legacy CPUs could have led to a crash in some cases. Insomniac Games and Nixxes Software have resolved this problem with the launch of v1.808 of Rift Apart. This raises the default stability of the game on old processors, allowing for a more streamlined experience.

Other errors have also been rectified in this patch. Corrupted text that could appear on waypoints in rare scenarios and visual corruption in UI screens occurring on some AMD and Intel GPUs will no longer impact gameplay. Additional visual discrepancies in Newsprint and Home Move rendering modes have been ironed out.

Furthermore, the Armor List will no longer jump back to the top after the player selects an equipment piece. In addition to all these fixes and improvements, Insomniac and Nixxes have implemented various other bug fixes, stability enhancements, and optimizations in order to further elevate the game’s performance.

The dimension-hopping adventure first launched in 2021, exclusively for Sony’s PlayStation 5. By utilizing the PS5’s fast SSD, Insomniac crafted a journey with seamless jumps between various worlds. Since then, technology’s advancement has allowed the game to run on faster hard drives on PC. However, SSDs are still recommended.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was originally launched on the PlayStation 5 and has now been ported to PC as well.
