Respawn Potentially Hiring For What Seems Like A New Titanfall Game

According to a new job listing that eXputer has managed to spot, Apex Legends and Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment is starting an incubation team for a brand-new project. In the LinkedIn ad, the studio stated that it is looking for a Game Design Director to become part of this incubation team that will go on to “create a great game,” hinting at an unannounced project. 

Nothing more about the nature of this title is revealed in the listing, except for one little detail that has me on the edge of my seat right now. 

Among the various “qualifications” required from potential candidates, one explicitly states, “Significant professional experience designing Multiplayer FPS experiences.” The Titanfall IP is the first thing that comes to mind regarding the subject in question but don’t hold your breath. Considering Respawn’s portfolio and skillset, this could very well be a brand-new IP for all we know. 
 

A Past Rumor That Coincides With The Listing In Question

Back in March this year, Jeff Grub — a well-known industry insider — claimed to have heard rumblings of a new Titanfall game in development (via Eurogamer). According to him, this wouldn’t be Titanfall 3 however. 

It’s likely that the job listing at hand depicts that the project is advancing in development, but that’s only speculation on my part. Let us know what your thoughts are down in the comments ahead.
