Bloober Team Partners With CAA To Mark Its Foray In The Film Industry

"We don't want a Layers of Fear movie, we need it."

Bloober Team who are most famously credited for the upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake has truly decided to take an interesting decision. As per ComicBook, Bloober Team has made the executive decision to venture into other markets. These include movies and other types of storytelling content.

In recent years, the movie industry and the video game industry seem to have substantial synergy. Hence, it would make sense for video game developers to expand their wings. We have been seeing many studios jump the boat and Bloober Team is no different.

MAJOR TAKEAWAYS:

  • Bloober Team is a Polish studio founded on November 2008 in Kraków.
  • Tencent in fact has the largest stake in Bloober Teams.
  • The company is well known for its massive hits including Layers of Fear, Observer, Blair Witch, as well as The Medium.

In fact, Piotr Babieno who is the CEO of the company said that the partnership unlocks new avenues for them. He classified the partnership as introducing great opportunities. After all, LA is most well known to be the land of opportunity.

Piotr Babieno seemed to be making cryptic statements and has not further elaborated on the type of opportunities the company may be getting. The question that most people seem to have is how is Bloober Team going to expand the horror genre into other platforms.

Piotr Babieno further elaborated and said,

“I am delighted with this partnership. CAA is a top-notch agency and its portfolio is very impressive. Bloober Team’s strategy for the coming years is to achieve a leading position in the horror genre. For both partners, it’s a perfect match. We are set to become a company whose IP will be firmly rooted in pop culture. Together with our friends from CAA, we will extend that IP across new platforms, growing the audience for these beloved titles.  Although we specialize in game development and it is through games that we tell stories, we see great opportunities in going beyond gaming, while still staying true to our DNA – that is, horror.”
