- Monster Hunter Rise has crossed 12 million copies sold worldwide.
- The team has acknowledged this and has released some artwork.
- Right after this announcement, they revealed a new minor patch for PlayStation users.
When it was released in 2021, Monster Hunter Rise took the world by storm with its ecstatic gameplay and unique mechanics. It is the sixth mainline installment in the series, and like many games with sequels, it is nothing like what the fans of Monster Hunter have ever seen before.
Back when it was released, the game had hit 5 million copies sold in just a week showing the tremendous amount of success the game had, and the effect that it had on the community was also very prominent. This can be easily proved by the consistent updates and copies sold over the course of the year.
With everything going strong for Monster Hunter Rise, it was only time before it would go on to break another record for itself and sell over 12 million copies worldwide.
Monster Hunter Rise has now sold more than 12 million units worldwide, and we couldn't have done it without you – our amazing Hunters!

When the milestone was hit, the team released some artwork featuring Kamura and thanked its players for the growing fanbase and for staying on course with the journey it had planned out.
Just after the team hit this amazing milestone, they got straight back to work to improve the state of the current game even more. And so they revealed a new minor patch coming for PlayStation.

The patch targets some sort of memory-based error. This error can cause whenever you try to load your character data into the game. They also give a solution for this error, which is to simply delete whatever inconsistent data exists and proceed.
This error is pretty minor and didn’t require the game to undergo any massive changes, a few fixes, and it was all good. The fact that the team went back to work right after the news of its new milestone goes to show the love that they have for the game that they created.
The game has been doing very well in its reviews and is getting frequently updated. By viewing the current popularity of the game and the loyal team working tirelessly behind it, we can expect Monster Hunter Rise to break another record very soon.
