Melty Blood: Type Lumina just got an official update on Twitter from the game’s twitter page confirming the future roadmap for the game for near future. The roadmap includes updates for the game including “Expanded functions”, balancing and bug fixes. The main highlight however is the DLC content that the game is going to be receiving from this Winter until Spring next year.
Melty Blood: Type Lumina is a 2D fighting game series based off the Tsukihime Visual Novel. The game borrows character from Tsukihime as well as featuring characters from the very popular Fate series. Tsukihime is the precursor to the massively popular Fate series. The Fate series itself is a series of 3 Visual Novels that have been greatly expanded in a large series of anime and video games. Melty Blood: Type Lumina came out only last month on September 30th, the game was praised for its easy to grasp but deep combat system and beautiful anime visuals.
The Tsukihime VN was also recently remade by developer Type-MOON with completely redone visuals, new OSTs and added scenes. The game is currently only available in Japan on the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch, with currently no plans for a Western or PC release anytime soon. However, the scenario writer, Kinoko Nasu, has expressed interest on bringing the series to the west alongside a PC release.
