Minecraft players have been known to be very creative, and they prove this fact over and over again. It’s been well over a decade since the game was released but players are nowhere near done with the game. Recently, some players have been showcasing their creative skills by reimagining real-life items, like a working GameBoy console in Minecraft, while others will be recreating entire maps from other games, like the Apex Legends Fragment East and Fragment West map, In Minecraft. There is so much for the players to do in Minecraft, and recently, a player has recreated the motorsport race track, Red Bull Ring, in the game.
A few days ago, u/DarkGreyDerp, a user on Reddit, posted a few screenshots of their astonishing spectacle on r/formula1. At first glance, it looks as if the images are real and not recreated in a game. However, looking more closely, that’s certainly not the case. The creators did a fabulous job at recreating the entire Red Bull Ring, and for context, it is exactly the size of the real motorsport race track. It includes “everything from grandstands to parking lots,” as the creator mentions.
One of the creators were kind enough to share some details regarding the recreation of the Red Bull Ring. They said that the project was “made by two builders for the BuildTheEarth project on the subteam: AlpsBTE,” one of which is Pippen. Furthermore, u/DarkGreyDerp mentioned that it took a playtime of nearly 20 days to complete this project. The creator also confirmed that they rendered Minecraft to have better lighting. However, they did not use any ray-tracing. The recreation of the nearly six-kilometre area of the Red Bull Ring in Minecraft is definitely impressive and left the spectators on Reddit amazed.
