Bloober Team has slaved away at the extremely anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake, and it’s safe to say that the game’s looking pretty much phenomenal from all that one can see right now. Courtesy of PlayStation Game Size on X, we now also know what the forthcoming title’s file size looks like on the PlayStation 5 Expect a 50 GB download more or less on day one, with pre-loads for the Standard Edition starting on October 6.
Subsequently, if you happened to pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game, which includes numerous in-game goodies including Silent Hill 2’s digital artbook and soundtrack, you can start playing from October 6—a whole two days before the title’s original release.
Just a tip: Make sure that you avoid searching terms related to Silent Hill 2 these days. Some stores apparently sold the game earlier than expected, allowing many to post spoilers online. Well, in hindsight, I’m not sure how much you can spoil yourself from a 20 years old+ game, but if you’re a franchise newcomer, the advice still stands.
Silent Hill 2 Changed User Sentiments Pretty Rapidly
I will say that Silent Hill 2 got off to a bad start when Bloober Team decided to release a “combat trailer” for the game. While claiming that this footage did not reflect the true spirit of the remake, the devs later showed off the environmental design of Silent Hill 2, winning back hearts just like that.
