Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 5 Launch Date Confirmed

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 5 release time and contents confirmed.

Story Highlights

  • Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 5 launches on July 23, 2026.
  • The update adds new multiplayer maps, weapons, modes, and the final Zombies map.
  • A fresh Battle Pass and BlackCell offering will arrive alongside the seasonal content.

Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 5 launches on July 23, 2026, alongside the next major Warzone update.

According to the official Season 5 content breakdown, the update will introduce another substantial batch of multiplayer, Zombies, and battle royale content. Players will not have to wait long, either.

When Does Black Ops 7 Season 5 Start?

Black Ops 7 Season 5 is scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 23, at the following times:

  • 9 AM PT
  • 12 PM ET
  • 5 PM BST
  • 6 PM CEST

The seasonal update will be available across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Warzone players will receive the associated seasonal content at the same time.

As usual, it is worth downloading any available preload before launch. Call of Duty updates have not exactly earned a reputation for being tiny, as the ongoing discussion surrounding Black Ops 6’s file size demonstrates.

What Is Coming In Season 5?

Season 5 continues Black Ops 7’s multiplayer support with new maps, additional weapons, limited-time modes, and seasonal events. Some content will be available immediately, while the rest will arrive through the midseason update.

Zombies is receiving an especially important addition: its final major map. That gives Season 5 considerably more weight for players following the mode’s storyline, particularly after the series’ uneven handling of Zombies in recent years. Our look at the downfall of Call of Duty Zombies explains why expectations around each new map remain so high.

Warzone will also get new activities and playlist changes, although the shared weapon pool may prove more significant for the wider meta. Fresh guns tend to shake up loadouts quickly—even when balancing inevitably needs another pass a week later.

A New Battle Pass And BlackCell Offering

Season 5 will introduce a new Battle Pass featuring weapons, operator content, cosmetic rewards, and Call of Duty Points. Activision has also detailed the premium BlackCell package through its official Battle Pass overview.

Whether that upgrade is worthwhile depends almost entirely on how much you play. The standard seasonal weapons remain the practical priority; premium cosmetics are considerably easier to skip.

Black Ops 7 now enters another crucial stretch as competition within the shooter space intensifies. Battlefield’s latest advantage over Call of Duty did not appear from nowhere, while the growing interest surrounding Battlefield 6 gives Activision even more reason to deliver a polished season.

For now, Season 5 looks packed. The final Zombies map will likely be the main attraction, but its weapon balance, map quality, and launch stability will determine whether the update actually sticks the landing.
