Halo Infinite Leak Reveals New Textures For Halo 5: Guardians DMR

Halo Infinite has over twenty weapons that are extremely unique and different from each other. While everyone mostly likes these weapons, the game seems to be lacking newer weaponry. This is because some of the weapons in this title were present in previous entries as well.

Well, it seems like this is about to change to some extent. Recently, a data-miner uploaded new textures for the infamous DMR from Halo 5: Guardians found in Halo Infinite (thanks, @leaks_infinite). Previously, there were some leaked voice lines from Halo Infinite that led to the conclusion that a “Bandit” weapon was going to be released, and with the data-mined images, it can be confirmed that these leaks were true to some level.

These leaked images show the new weapon in excruciating detail. From the overall shape to its ammo cartridge, the details speak for themselves. These data-mined images prove that this weapon will be released in Halo Infinite sooner, if not later. Considering that the leaks have been going on for weeks, the release must be near.

Some players started comparing other weapons to these leaks in order to deduce which weapon was being released, namely the VK78 Commando and a few other rifles. However, after putting the two side by side, it can be confirmed that it is the DMR from Halo 5: Guardians.

With all this in mind, the possibility of more weapons seems abundant. However, if the development team keeps porting older weapons into the game with a few texture changes, it might not please the community as much as it would hope to do so.

Aside from that, these recent leaks assure us that 343 Industries and Xbox Game Studios won’t be leaving Halo Inifinite’s side any time soon, despite the recent decline that the game has seen. However, all of this is just speculation at the moment, so do take this information with a grain of salt.
