Story Highlights
- After other publishers, Sega has joined in on the Steam Summer Sale fun as well.
- The industry giant has discounted a swath of fantastic games worth picking up this season.
- The promotion period lasts until July 11, so make sure to sink your teeth in ahead of time.
Sega, one of the biggest names in the gaming industry, has notably developed and published a number of top-shelf IPs over the years, so when this company’s titles go on sale, you better be looking front and center. At first, it was just the Steam Summer sale, discounting a swath of different games and making them go for terrific prices, but Team17 shortly chimed in, bringing its own magic to the table as well.
I’ve spotted sales going up to 82% off in the wake of this occasion, so it’s certainly worth taking a closer look as to what’s so special right now on Steam. For that reason, I’ve gone ahead and done the work for you, compiling a curated list of the best Sega games you can get for relatively cheaper at the moment.
Some Of Sega’s Best Games Are Enjoying Terrific Price Cuts
Since the promotion ends on July 11, make sure that you’re aligning your purchases accordingly. In addition, don’t forget to comment down below in case you want to add to the list with a contribution of your own.
1. Sonic Frontiers
Starting off the list is frankly one of the best Sonic games ever made, selling over 3.5 million copies to date to become the highest-selling 3D Sonic title in history. I mean, it’s got to be doing something right, wouldn’t it? Well, Sonic Frontiers brought the Blue Blur back to glory in ways more than one, featuring great gameplay and impressive visuals.
My colleague Najam wrote about the game at length, remarking it in the following words,
From spectacular giant boss battles to adrenaline-rushing soundtrack and balanced gameplay, not only was Sonic badass, but every single character was well-written in the story. It finally brought back a mature tone that’s suitable for fans of all ages.”

2. Persona 3 Reload
There’s a lot to unfold with Persona 3 Reload in the house, so where do we start, exactly? Let’s see. Amazing visuals? Check. Genre-definining RPG elements? Check. An intriguing storyline? Absolutely. The game, being a remake of the original 2006-released Persona 3, features drastic improvements over its predecessor, and is a complete visual and mechanical overhaul.
It’s currently 30% off on Steam, which makes the RPG even more worth paying for.

3. Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name
Kiryu Kazama, the legendary Yakuza franchise’s central protagonist, is back in action in Like a Dragon Gaiden, attempting to start over and overcome his brutal past. The game itself is well-crafted, sporting the same great story development of Like a Dragon/Yakuza games, and quality written characters that really immerse you into the world of The Man Who Erased His Name.
eXputer reviewed Like a Dragon Gaiden and rated it 4/5 in its review, with author Asad Ahmed remarking,
Like a Dragon Gaiden successfully weaves a compelling narrative that serves as a satisfying conclusion to Kazuma Kiryu’s iconic journey.”
- Get it on Steam.
4. Total War: Warhammer 3
Serving as the direct sequel to Total War: Warhammer 2, which is seriously one of the most addictive games you can play, Warhammer 3 is bigger and better than the franchise has ever been. Yes, the pricing of the DLC is off-putting, but the base game itself is worth thousands of hours of fun alone, considering its in-depth turn-based gameplay, great graphics, and more.

5. Total War: Three Kingdoms
As far as intricately designed plotlines and narratives go, Total War: Three Kingdoms is right up there at the top of the hierarchy, looking down on its competition like there’s no tomorrow. The game features real-time battles with a turn-based premise, heroes and characters whose respective stories branch out, and thoroughly engaging gameplay.
With or without mods, this game should be considered among the greatest of all strategy games and a bar by which to hold Creative Assembly to. This is Total War at it’s best,” says one player on Steam.

6. Alpha Protocol
So this last one might come across as a fairly dated title, but rest assured that Alpha Protocol is one of the best games Sega ever published, even with the glaring number of flaws it has. The classic gem from 2010 has been panned for wonky gameplay, but despite its shortcomings, how everything else is put together is just so much fun here. Certainly something to pick up at $16, which is 20% off its regular pricing.
