1. Place yourself tightly in the small corner found on the back wall of T Spawn.

You can also smoke off the xBox spot In Dust 2 from Top Mid if you need to make a Catwalk crossing towards A Short.

A Short from Mid

The next Dust 2 smoke spot we will look at blocks off the A short angle. This angle is where you, as the Terrorists, will push the A Bomb Site from. Therefore, it is under close watch from the CTs. Throwing this smoke will block off the line of sight of any CTs positioned at A Site, and force them to reposition to get a view. This is when you and your team can swoop in and take control of the site.

You can throw this smoke from the xBox near Mid Doors on Dust 2.

1. Initially, walk right up the xBox near Mid Doors and line yourself up with the left rope.

2. Afterward, look above towards the tower near A Short. Aim your crosshair at the corner formed by the small wooden planks protruding from the top of the tower as shown. Then, move it above and slightly to the right, as can be seen in the image.

3. Finally, throw the smoke from a stationary position.

A Short One-Way

Another similar smoke throw can be executed from the A Short spot on Dust 2. However, this smoke has the advantage of letting you see through it towards anyone near A Cross or A Car. To do so, you need to get close to the edge of the wall on your right, as shown in the picture above.

1. Walk up to the cage door on A Short, and stand in its center.

2. Subsequently look towards the left wall, and position your crosshair nearly halfway between the window and the wooden post above.

3. Perform the smoke throw while standing still.

A Short Default

Next up, we have the default smoke spot on the A Short angle on Dust 2. This will be your go-to smoke throw when you need to push A Short. It performs similarly to the ‘A Short from Mid’ smoke spot previously mentioned.

You can perform this smoke throw from A Short.

1. Nestle yourself in the corner between the white box and the wall on A Short.

2. Look towards the right of Short stairs, and aim your near the bottom end of the top lining of the wall.

3. Throw the smoke while stationary.

CT Spawn from Short

Moving on, our next smoke spot on Dust 2 blocks the angle from CT Spawn towards the A Site. This is an essential smoke throw when pushing A site. It can stop CTs from rotating to A when you are pushing short. Additionally, it can also block the line of sight from Mid onto A Cross, allowing your team to cross from A Long onto the A Site.

1. Walk up to the left end of the metal shutter door on A Short.

2. Subsequently look towards the A site, and line up your crosshair to match the top-right corner of the building on A Site with the blue decorative features.

A Long Corner from T Spawn

My favorite best smoke spot In dust 2 – If you are planning on pushing A Long, this is one smoke spot you will not want to miss in Dust 2. Smoking the A Long corner disrupts vision of any CTs keeping guard on the Long Doors. As they scuttle to reposition, you can cross the doors unhindered and then find positions to take out the CTs.

You can perform this smoke throw from T Spawn on Dust 2.

1. Stand next to the T Spawn half-wall so that you are directly adjacent to the edge when you crouch as shown.

2. Once done, stand up and look slightly right towards the wall in front. Position your crosshair on the left edge of the pole near the bottom of the brown patch, as shown.

3. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke go as you reach the top of your jump.

A CT Cross #1 from Long

Smoking the A Cross smoke spot on Dust 2 will let you and your team cross from Long towards the A Site. It can save you from any AWPers positioned in CT Base or CT Mid. Moreover, it also guarantees some level of protection from A Short.

However, smoking this angle on Dust 2 requires two smoke grenade throws. The first one can be executed from A Long as follows.

1. Firstly, position yourself on the right side of the blue barrel next to A Long Doors.

2. Aim your crosshair on the edge of the wall to the left of the white metal door, as shown.

3. Lastly, perform a running jump throw. To do this, move a few steps forward and jump while releasing the smoke at the top of your jump.

A CT Cross #2 from Long

To perfectly block off the A Cross angle and move over into A Site, you will need this second A Cross smoke spot in Dust 2.

Like the previous smoke, this throw can also be executed from A Long on Dust 2.

1. Walk up to the corner of the shadow on the floor at A Long.

2. Stand right at the corner of the shadow so that your crosshair lines up as shown.

3. Look up towards the metallic roof extending from the wall. Afterward, line up your crosshair on the intersection between the bottom and vertical middle supporting rods.

4. Perform a running throw, taking a few steps forward before releasing your smoke.

CT Spawn from A Long

This is one of the best smoke spots In Dust 2 – It covers the CT Spawn entrance leading to A Site. Hence, it is similar to the last two smoke throws, except that it leaves the A Short angle open to use. This can be useful if your team is executing a A Short and A Long split push, and want to assist each other in their entry.

You can perform this smoke throw from A Long.

1. Come out of A Long Doors. Once here, look towards the left wall, and stand against it in the middle of the grid of cross patterns.

2. Next, look at the ground and adjust your position until your crosshair lines up exactly as shown.

3. Look to the right towards the corner next to the blue metal container. Line up your crosshair with the corner next to the antenna, and move it up slightly as shown.

4. Throw the smoke while standing still.

CT Spawn Mid from A Long

Our next Dust 2 smoke spot blocks line of site from the Mid entrance of CT Spawn towards B Site. This smoke can greatly help your team push onto B if there are any enemies in CT Spawn or A Cross. Not only can they push throw Mid Doors without worry, but anyone pushing B from Tunnels can also cross the B Doors easily.

You can execute this smoke throw from A Long on Dust 2.

1. At A Long, stand next to the wall and the blue barrel located on the right side of A Long Doors.

2. Look towards the wall to the left of A Long Doors, and position your crosshair below and to the left of the street lamp, as shown. It should line up with the shadow of the pole on the left.

3. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke go as you reach the top of your jump.

CT Spawn Mid from A Short

The same smoke throw can also be executed from the A Short Catwalk on Dust 2. Again, it will be a big help when pushing B Site from either Mid Doors or B Tunnels, since it blocks off vision towards CT Spawn and A Cross.

You can smoke this angle from the Catwalk leading to A Short on Dust 2.

1. On the A Short Catwalk, find the metal cage door just before turning the corner.

2. Stand right against the door so that your crosshair lines up with its center.

3. Look above Mid Doors, and aim your crosshair on a small brown indentation in the wall as shown.

4. Perform a running throw, taking a few steps forward before releasing your smoke.

CT Spawn Mid from xBox

Once again, you can cover the same smoke spot from the xBox found near Mid Doors on Dust 2.

1. Stand at the corner between the xBox and the right wall.

2. Look above Mid Doors, and line up your crosshair at the edge of the xBox as shown.

3. Perform the smoke throw while standing still.

Mid Doors Hinge Smoke

This is a cheeky smoke spot on Dust 2 that is harder to land, but can be vital if you get the hang of it. It can cover a push from Catwalk onto A Short if there are any CTs at CT Mid. You can also use this to cover a late rotate through T Spawn.

You can perform this smoke throw from the Mid Doors.

1. Stand exactly in the left corner of the Mid Doors at the side facing T Spawn.

2. Aim your crosshair at the bottom of the small diamond-shaped feature near the door hinge, and then move it slightly left until you hit the hinge intersection.

3. Perform a right-click throw while standing stationary.

CT Top Box from Catwalk

Next up, we will go through a smoke angle that covers the top box at the Mid entrance of CT Spawn on Dust 2. Blocking this spot can make it easier to move up or down the ramp leading from CT Mid to B Doors, since it narrows down the angle that any CTs in CT Spawn or A Site can look through. Additionally, you can lay down another smoke to the right of it to completely cut off the CT Spawn Mid Entrance.

You can cover this smoke spot from Catwalk on Dust 2.

1. Jump onto the railing on the left of Catwalk, and position yourself so that your crosshair aligns as shown.

2. Look above Mid Doors, and aim your crosshair at the intersection of the two dome-shaped structures at the top of the wall. Subsequently move it up slightly as shown.

3. Perform the smoke throw while standing still.

CT Top Box from Mid Doors

The same smoke spot can be covered from Mid Doors as well, similarly lending cover to B Ramp from CT Spawn and A Site. Similar to the previous smoke, you can throw another smoke next to this as well to completely shut down the CT Spawn Mid Entrance angle on Dust 2.

You can execute this smoke from the Mid Doors.

1. Stand exactly in the corner to the right of Mid Doors at the side facing CT Mid.

2. Look towards the wooden arch above the CT Spawn Entrance, and line up your crosshair towards the left of it as shown.

3. Perform the smoke throw while stationary.

B Door from Upper Tunnels

The next best smoke spot In Dust 2 enables you to cover the B Doors. Doing so can be vital when pushing B Site, since it shields you from any CTs at CT Mid or CT Spawn. Hence, your team can cross and plant the bomb.

1. Stand right up against the pillar in the Upper Tunnels.

2. Look to the roof, and align your crosshair between the gap in the wooden planks, as shown.

3. Perform the smoke throw while standing still.

B Window from Upper Tunnels

This smoke throw allows you to block off the Window on B Site on Dust 2, drawing out anyone holding an angle from the Window onto Tunnels. As such, your team can push more comfortably when trying to take site.

You can perform this throw from Upper Tunnels. Also, there are slight differences to consider based on the tick rate of the server you are playing on.

64 Tick Rate

1. Stand in the corner to the left of the pillar next to the boxes.

2. Move an inch to the right so that your crosshair lines up with the small white spot on the ground.

3. Look towards the Tunnel Entrance, and line your crosshair with the top edge as shown.

4. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke go as you reach the top of your jump.

128 Tick Rate

1. Stand in the corner to the left of the pillar next to the boxes.

2. Look towards the Tunnel Entrance. Place your crosshair on the top-right corner of the boxes, and take it up slightly until it reaches the spot shown. This spot is slightly below the crosshair spot for the 64 tick throw.

3. Perform a jump throw, letting your smoke go as you reach the top of your jump.

Deep Mid Doors from CT Mid

Our first smoke spot when playing for the CT side on Dust 2 blocks off the coveted Mid Doors angle near the xBox. Not only can this facilitate easier crossing over to the B Site, but can also provide you with an excellent opportunity to rush Lower Tunnels and catch any enemies approaching B Site by surprise.

You can perform this smoke throw from CT Mid on Dust 2.

1. In CT Spawn, stand near the corner of the Top Box on your right. Once here, aim your crosshair to the left of the archway structure as shown.

2. Perform a running throw, taking a few steps forward before releasing your smoke.

B Tunnels from CT Mid

Next up, we have the smoke spot that covers the Tunnels Exit on B Site on Dust 2. This smoke can be used in the early round to ward off a potential rush from the Ts. Additionally, it can also be a big help in retaking site control in a post-plant situation, since some Ts tend to camp in tunnels to protect the bomb.

You can perform this smoke CT Mid.

1. On the Ramp leading to B Site, find a thin vertical gap to the right of the Scaffolding.

2. Position yourself against the wall so that your crosshair can line up with the middle of the gap, as shown.

3. Look above B Doors, and place your crosshair directly on the circular feature on the crane.

4. Lastly, perform the smoke throw while standing still.

A Short from Short Boost

This smoke spot lets you block off the A Short crossing near Short stairs. This is where you will see the Terrorists coming from whenever they push A Short. Therefore, having the main engagement line blocked will force the Ts to either delay their push or proceed blindly into the smoke, lending you an advantage.

You can execute this smoke throw the Short Boost angle on Dust 2.

1. Jump onto the smallest box at Short Boost, and hug the corner it makes with the other boxes.

2. Look towards the top of the building on the left of A Short. Place your crosshair a fraction of an inch below the top-right corner of the building, as shown.

3. Once done, simply throw the smoke from a stationary position.

A Short from A Site

This smoke spot on Dust 2 is similar to the last one, except that this cuts off the main Short angle that you can watch from A Site. Much like the previous smoke, this will put the Terrorists at a massive disadvantage if they opt to push A Site from Short. Moreover, it also lends you greater protection since you can watch this from the safety of the boxes on A Site.

You can perform this smoke throw from A Site on Dust 2.

1. On the A Site, position yourself up against the first box and the half wall, as shown. Afterward, aim your crosshair to the corner of the tower behind A Short Ramp.

2. Perform the smoke throw while standing still.

A Long Doors from A Car

If you suspect a push from A Long Doors on Dust 2, you really need this smoke throw in your arsenal. It can subdue a Long push, forcing the Terrorists to either rotate or go in blindly through the smoke. Either way, it puts your team at an advantage.

You can cover this smoke angle from the A Car spot on Dust 2.

1. Move up to the A Car, and line yourself up with the joint between the two windows on the right.

2. Look towards the two sign posts sticking out of the blue and brown building in front. Line up your crosshair with the top-right corner of the upper signboard, and move it up until it reaches the top of the wire support as shown.

3. Lastly, perform the smoke throw while standing in place.

What Are Smokes In The Dust 2 Map Of CSGO 

One of the best pieces of equipment in CSGO is the smoke grenades that you can find in various regions and use it on different spots in the Dust 2 map to evade enemies.
