Here's how you can buy a house in Dragon's Dogma 2 and skip the time by making a one time investment.
In Dragon’s Dogma 2, players have the option to spend the night at the local Inn for a fee of 2000 gold. This feature can come in handy when players want to skip time and heal up. There is an alternate way to use this feature, which is by making a one-time investment to buy a house featuring a storage chest.
- To get your first house, you must complete the “A Place To Call Home” Quest.
- The cheapest house that players can buy is for just 20,000 gold.
- Later, the players will be able to buy some other houses as well.
How To Complete “A Place To Call Home” Quest
In order to buy your first house in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you need to complete the “A Place To Call Home” Quest. However, you must first complete one of Brant’s quests. When you first arrive at Vernworth, you will meet Brant who will ask you to meet him at the bar at night and explain the situation about the False Arisen in the palace.
However, after visiting him in the bar, he will ask you to complete one of his quests. After completing Brant’s quest, you will find an NPC named Mildred near the bar’s entrance. You will find this NPC only during the daytime. Therefore, you can use the nearby bench to doze off in case you arrive at the location at night.
After conversing with Mildred, she will invite you to her residence and request that you look after it for a week while she’s gone. Simply agree to her request. At the end of the week, Mildred will return and offer to sell you her house for 20,000 gold.
If you decline the offer, the house will become inaccessible until you buy it. So make sure to buy it as it’s the cheapest house you’ll get.
All House Locations In DD2
There are some other houses as well that offer different locations and spaces while sharing the same storage chest that you can use either to store weapons and equipment or to take that extra weight off.

Mildred’s House
You can buy Mildred’s house by completing her quest and paying her 20,000 gold afterward.
Salvatore’s Residence
You can buy this Noble Quarters house for 200,000 gold by talking to the NPC named Salvatore standing just near the front of the house.
Bakbattahl House
You can buy this house by talking to a beastren NPC named Adrea, who will offer to sell you a dwelling in Bakbattahl for a price of 30,000 gold. After accepting Adrea’s offer, she will guide you to the house.
