Sources For Crafting Or Generating Fusion Cores

There are also three other sources through which cores can be generated or crafted.

1. Laser Weapons: Weapons such as Gatling Lasers and Ultracite Gatling Lasers yield a singular Fusion Core each. When you craft either of these guns, they come loaded with a core that serves as ammunition. A fully charged one provides exactly 500 shots.

These can be removed and used for Power Armors if the player wishes.

2. Fusion Core Processor: The Fusion Core Processor is a type of Mineral Extractor that can only be found in the following three locations.

  • Poseidon Energy Plant WV-06.
  • Monongah Power Plant.
  • Thunder Mountain Power Plant.

They cannot be crafted by players and they cannot be moved from their set locations. But when provided with 100 electricity, Fusion Core Processors generate a fully charged Fusion Core every seven minutes.

3. BoS Collectron Station: A BoS Collectron Station is a resource gathering structure that fills up with items every seven minutes or so. It can be crafted by the player with the following components.

  • 1x Circuitry.
  • 1x Copper.
  • 1x Gear.
  • 3x Steel.

Total items gathered cannot exceed the maximum storage capacity of ten pounds.

Fusion Cores Location
General Area for Fusion Cores

Not everyone has a penchant for crafting, so these methods are for those who don’t want to spend a lot of time farming for resources.

Spawn Locations:

Fusion Cores can always be found in the following locations.

  • Arktos Pharma: Three cores can be found in this building. Two are on the fourth floor, while one is in the loading bay’s Fusion Generator.
  • AVR Medical Center: Search the Fusion Generator below the cafeteria of the area.
  • Big Bend Tunnel: The storage room with the Mole Rats has a Fusion Generator you can loot.
  • Bleeding Kate’s Grindhouse: Another Fusion Generator can be found next to the movie screen. Search it to find a core.
  • Fort Defiance: Search the bottom row of a metal shelf in the third-floor armory.
  • Hornwright Industrial Headquarters: A Fusion Core can be found in the Fusion Generator on the top floor.
  • Palace Of The Winding Path: One core can be found in the basement, on the metal shelves next to the generator.
  • Wade Airport: On the desk in the air traffic control tower.
  • Charleston Capitol Building: There are two different Fusion Generators in this structure, and both are found on the lower level. One is in the eastern end while the other is in the western end.

Loot Sources:

Each of the following sources of loot can yield Fusion Cores.

  • Power Armor: Guaranteed Fusion Core when encountering Power Armor in the open world.
  • Fusion Generators: Check any Fusion Generators for Fusion Cores beyond fixed locations.
  • Ammo Boxes: Fusion Cores, a type of ammunition, may be found in ammo boxes.
  • Enemies: Enemies, especially robotic ones like Anglers and Sentry Bots, may drop Fusion Cores.

Quest Rewards:

There is one set quest one quest type that reward Fusion Cores.

The Line in the Sand public event guarantees two fully charged cores upon completion. It is given by Scribe Grant at Fort Defiance.

Daily Ops are randomized and repeatable dungeons that reward players with a variety of different items on completion. Finishing these with a weapon that uses fusion cores will reward fully charged cores as a reward towards the end.

And that’s all of the sources of Fusion Cores in the game. This has been eXputer’s Fusion Core guide.
