Helldivers 2: How To Get Medals [Two Main Methods]

In Helldivers 2, there are a few key resources you must prioritize obtaining, including the medals. You will require them to unlock new weapons and armor to increase your assault and defense to defeat aliens and complete missions as easily as possible.

1. Complete Galactic War Missions

To reliably get medals in Helldivers 2, focus on finishing missions in the Galactic War. Before picking a mission, check the completion rewards tab to see how many Medals you’ll get. The number of medals you get depends on the difficulty of the mission. I suggest you start with easier missions and unlock higher-level weapons and armor rather than go for difficult missions to get more medals. 

2. Daily Missions

You can score a bunch of Medals by finishing your daily mission in Helldivers 2. The daily missions reward you with Medals, and they pop up once a day. They’re pretty straightforward and usually take less time to wrap up. Also, you can complete global tasks by collaborating with other players to get medals as a reward. 

You might stumble upon medals during missions by checking out points of interest marked by diamond-shaped icons on the mini-map. But it’s not a guarantee that you will always get medals as a reward. Depending on your luck, you might find lots of ammo, super credits, heavy weapons, or even medals.

Medals are important for your progress in Helldivers 2 because they are the main resource required to unlock new weapons and armor. Weapons are important for taking down aliens and providing justice to the Super Earth. Armors are important to increase your defense; they help absorb extra damage and provide extra space to carry grenades. Also, some armors assist in your recoil control, helping you in fights.
