A new trailer yet no release date for “Return of the Obra Dinn”

Back in 2013, developer Lucas Pope created the successful puzzle title called Paper, Please. The game was an instant hit and received much acclaim from critics all over. It happened to receive a whopping 10/10 on Steam and 4.6 on GOG.com. From the same developer, a while ago, a new title was teased and it has been teased a couple of times since. The upcoming Return of the Obra Dinn was teased at once more today with a brand new trailer. What seriously annoyed fans who are psyched for the title was that no final release date was given along with it.

The trailer which is part of the major news can be seen here below

Returning to the roots and playing with our nostalgic nerves all over, the game and its graphics bring us back to the 90’s and the 80’s while the game itself is set back in 1807. The narrative puzzle title follows the story of a ship which had not found its way for the past five years suddenly appearing and the story continuing from there on.

As it can be seen from the trailer as well, the game ends with first showing the time being fast forwarded to 1818 and then the trailer ending with a ‘coming soon’, thereby not giving a definitive release date for the greatly anticipated title.
