According to a Spanish Twitter source eXtas1stv, A Plague Tale: Requiem will only be played at 30 FPS. Many fans were skeptical about this potential leak until the source stated that they had in fact had early access to the game. However, that is not all, according to eXtas1stv it will be for both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. 

While eXtas1stv did in fact bring the leak to light, the first to break the news was a Resetera user named Ket. They made a comment about A Plague Tale: Requiem yesterday night.

Moreover, according to their experience, there were random slowdowns, particularly during the rat as well as fire effects sections. Most fans seemed to agree that having slow effects can really put the game down a notch. 

According to speculation, there is a high chance performance toggle option will be available later on in the game. Which means that we will be able to enjoy a higher FPS eventually. 

So what do the fans have to say about the A Plague Tale: Requiem leak? Well, the news comes as a huge shock to fans. Many claims that it is high time for developers to shift to 60 FPS so they can enjoy playing on their new consoles.

Some claim that there is no point in spending money on an expensive console if they can not fully enjoy the game.   

Many fans bitterly pointed out that the leak could not have happened at a worse time. Especially after the Gotham Knight leak, which has now been confirmed by officials.
