One Of The Best Capcom Games Ever Just Went 50% Off On The PlayStation Store

A fair bit of savings here.

Story Highlights

  • Resident Evil 4 is one of the finest Capcom games in the business right now, coming out in March last year.
  • The title has now been treated to a massive discount on the PlayStation Store, going 50% off for new buyers.
  • Other discounted deals have followed suit, and it’s a great time to scour the PS Store right now.

Capcom has been making a killing out there quite honestly, with back-to-back remakes and new iterations that do nothing but impress and please. Resident Evil 4, one of its most noteworthy works, was reimagined for modern-day platforms in March last year, later coming out to other systems as well. If you somehow missed purchasing what I recognize as a masterpiece, you best delve into the matter right now.

The PlayStation Store is currently offering Resident Evil 4 at 50% off, cutting down its $39.99 price tag to $19.99. In the day and age we live in today, $39.99 is already super fair for a game of this stature, but here we are, capitalizing and making the best of the moment.

The RE4 Remake on the PS Store

With cumulative sales growing beyond the 7 million mark, Resident Evil 4 has been nothing but excellent for fans and critics alike. All that time I spent playing the OG from 2005, I really thought Capcom couldn’t capture the essence of this one when it announced it was about to redo the third-person shooter. Little did I know what the developer was about to pull off. Can’t complain.

You should also know that following the launch of the Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, the base game has received a permanent price cut. It launched at $59.99, but you’ll now be able to purchase it for $39.99 even when it’s not on sale.

Speaking Of Remakes, There’s Another One In Town

When you say the word “remake,” another game comes to mind immediately, and that’s the Silent Hill 2 by Bloober Team. With the level of quality on display here, fans of the survival horror genre have a lot to sink their teeth in at the moment, because no one really saw this coming.

If anything, this just makes the case stronger for Bloober Team giving Capcom its due competition in the remake space. Konami is seemingly occupied with other Silent Hill projects, so it’ll be a while before it greenlights another remake. Until then, I know what I’ll be playing.
