Devil May Cry 5 is one of the most anticipated games that we got to see at E3 2018. We have seen and heard plenty about the game since it was launched and there will also be a playable demo at Gamescom 2018. That is something to look forward to if you can wait till next year to play the game. Having that said, we have some new information regarding Nico and why she has been brought into Devil May Cry 5.
Nico has been introduced in Devil May Cry 5 so that she can replace Nero’s arm after it has been cut off. Devil May Cry 5 director Itsuno and producers Matt Walker and Michiteru Okabe touched on the matter in a recent interview and the following is what they had to say in this regard:
Nico… well, what do you think? Nico is a character that was brought in to create Nero’s Devil Breaker arm. With her we aimed for a character that everyone would come to like. Despite that, there are highly individual opinions about her. But I think when you play the game, you will definitely end up loving her.
While I am a huge Devil May Cry fan and I can’t wait to play Devil May Cry 5, I did not find Nico all that great. But then again, I have yet to see the whole picture and playing the game might change my mind. The interview also gave us other insights regarding the game. We know that the Devil Breaker arms break when they are used too much. Now we also know that Nico has made them that way because she prefers performance over stability.
Itsuno has been given a lot of room to do what he pleases and according to him, the game is directed at players around the world. That has been taken into consideration and that is one of the reasons why you do not get to see a lot of skin. It has been a long time since we got a DMC game and it will be interesting to see what we get in the end. I am sure that devs will deliver and Devil May Cry 5 will be a great game.
