Elon Musk Didn’t Play GTA 5 Because The First Mission Was Too Much For Him

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors, revealed in a tweet that he tried playing GTA 5 but didn’t like the game as it required him to shoot police officers in the opening scene. The tweet was posted as a reply to @KettlebellLife, an X/Twitter employee, who posted a list of games he didn’t like, only mentioning every Grand Theft Auto title from 1 to 6.

GTA 5’s opening scene shows the characters on a heist, trying to rob a bank. The characters Michael DeSanta and Trevor Philips can be seen threatening the hostages. Once they’re heading out of the bank, they have to battle against the police and shoot at them to escape successfully. According to Elon Musk, he just couldn’t go ahead with shooting at the police like that.

Everyone on X/Twitter was talking about GTA after Rockstar Games released the first-ever highly anticipated trailer of GTA 6. The trailer had to be released early due to a leak, but it didn’t hinder its popularity, as the trailer on YouTube broke the record for most views in 24 hours, previously held by MrBeast.

It was revealed in the recent trailer that GTA 6 will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X in 2025. A PC release date wasn’t announced. Note that GTA 5 was also launched on consoles first, in September 2013, and was then later released on PC after two years in August 2015.
