Rockstar Games has finally launched the long-awaited GTA 6 reveal trailer, giving us the first look into the next mainline entry in the series. The player reception has been incredible and heavily skews towards the positivity of the community. But a few outliers have also emerged from the crowd, with contrasts in opinion. Posts talking about the alleged downgrade suffered by Jason in the trailer have been making strides on social media.

There are many posts, especially on GTAForums and GTA 6-related subreddits, where fans have come together to discuss the changes made to Jason since the pre-alpha leaks. People have claimed he looked much better in the past, and some have even compared him to a younger version of Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2. However, the other side argues Jason looks older now and more fleshed out.

Many GTA 6 fans are absolutely divided on his new appearance. However, he may receive a slew of additional changes until the title is released in two years. It is also worth remembering that we will be able to change many facial features, weight, and body types, including even getting a skin tan, according to leaks.

While the new character model for Jason seems to be one of the biggest sources of criticism, some users have also disliked other parts of the footage. Additionally, a few gamers have claimed to boycott GTA 6 entirely if it is not launched on Xbox Game Pass upon release. Others have disliked the new art style and allegedly “cartoon-ish” visuals. It is worth noting that many similar posts are also labeled as a potential attempt to troll or bait users.
