Only a few days ago, Rockstar Games took to Twitter to finally confirm the existence of the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI. A game that has been immersed deep in speculation, fake rumors as well as exciting leaks. While it was always apparent that a new GTA game was in development, it still marked a remarkable moment for fans to see the damn thing confirmed already.
Many of you have been asking about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.
With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we've previously delivered. We're pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.

It also appears that GTA VI may be slated for a 2024 release. Yes, you heard that correctly. Recently, through a screenshot posted on Reddit from an investor’s meeting, we can see the Take-Two discussing their future projects.
As for the other projects, there have also been many talks and rumors of a remaster/remake of Red Dead Redemption supposedly in development, as well as a sequel to Rockstar‘s high-school sim masterpiece “Bully.” While we can’t confirm if either of those projects is slated for anytime soon, it is also safe to expect that they are internally in the works at Rockstar.
It is to be expected that one of the few things that would be able to cause “record level performance” for a publisher like Take-Two is a release as massive as a new Rockstar title. That too of a similar scope to Rockstar‘s own Grand Theft Auto V. It’s reasonably obvious that the only thing that can surpass the performance of a GTA title is… another GTA title.
It should once again be kept in mind that this is purely speculation based on Take-Two‘s statements. However, it does lead us to believe that we can expect the latest entry in the GTA series sometime by 2024. What do you think of this development? Let us know in the comments below!
