Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within Set To Start In Less Than A Week

The Xbox Events app has apparently confirmed the starting and ending dates of the Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within. As seen on the official events app, Halo Infinite Season 3 will start five days from now on 7th March and end on 20th June.

A few days ago the event announcement on Halo’s Discord leaked the same info. But it was met with doubt as the Echoes Within was supposed to end on 27th June, a week later than the now-confirmed ending date.

The June 27 ending date was announced last year in September when Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within was officially delayed to March 2023.

So now instead of the previously announced 15 weeks, Halo Infinite’s Season 3 will end after 14 weeks. This comes against the backdrop of intense criticism that the series received for its 10 months long Season 2. Season 2 got extended due to the postponement of Season 3 for an extended duration.

Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within includes new content. It includes 2 new maps, new equipment, and a new weapon (m392 Bandit AKA the DMR). Season 3 will also have a 100-tier Battle Pass to keep players hooked to the game. A new Halo Fracture event is also scheduled to happen during the season.

Despite receiving critical acclaim, Halo Infinite has not lived up to its potential. Apart from a fully dedicated fanbase, which has kept the game alive, the game has failed to attract ordinary gamers.

So with the season’s release, 343 Industries hope to revive the gaming community’s interest in the game which has been stagnating for several months.

Now, as the dates for Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within have been confirmed, the fans of Halo fans are already excited for Season 4. Which, if 343 Industries stand by its schedule, will begin after Season 3 ends. That means the Halo Infinite Season 4 is due in just 15 weeks.

Objectively speaking that is by no means a short time. But when taking into consideration the wait the Halo fans had to endure for Season 3, 15 weeks is not much.
