According to Neowiz, the bug impedes progression in the second chapter after players defeat the Scrapped Watchman. The identified cause of this error appears to be an attempt to enter locked rooms within the premises of Hotel Krat. Doing so may lead to the activation of the bug resulting in adverse effects for your current playthrough.

Neowiz has issued temporary guidelines in order to momentarily alleviate the problem. The developer writes, “Before defeating the Chapter 2 Boss the ‘Scrapped Watchman’, if the players attempt to enter locked rooms within Hotel Krat a game-breaking bug may occur preventing further game progression.” While this may seem obvious at first glance, it’s better to be aware of such preventative measures.

Neowiz released a statement on this issue, reporting on the identified causes and measures being taken to alleviate the problem.

After conducting a meticulous review and investigation of the reported cases, we have identified various factors causing these problems. As of now, most of the game crashes including the ‘LowLevelFatalError’ can be resolved through a integrity verification process.”

Furthermore, players have been advised to ensure that their systems have up-to-date graphics drivers and BIOS. In addition to the aforementioned crashes and progression blockers, users previously reported a license problem with the deluxe edition of the game. The developers commented on the matter, stating that the discrepancy was caused by system changes on Valve’s end.

The Lies of P team has reassured the playerbase that they are looking into these issues. Users should expect a patch in the coming days while following the temporary guidelines to lessen the inconvenience.

Lies of P is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, macOS, PC, and last-gen consoles.
