Tencent’s LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS Announces Code: To Jin Yong

LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, a prominent Chinese game developer derived from Tencent, is releasing a new AAA title.

Tencent has a significant mark on the gaming world. The holding company has made considerable investments in the industry. It owns a lot of famous online games, like PUBG and Call Of Duty: Mobile. It has made waves in the industry and is only going up in the past few years.

Recently, Tencent made a new studio based in Los Angeles, LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, which was working on a certain AAA title for the past few months. Earlier today, the title and trailer for the game were revealed. The game, Code: To Jin Yong, reveals an ecstatic new trailer showcasing fluid movement, combat, and wuxia-inspired adventure.

The official description of the video gives us much-needed insight into what this mythical game is truly about. It reads, “Code: To Jin Yong is a tribute to well-known wuxia writer, Jin Yong. The new game is based on the world created in his wuxia novel series.”

It seems like Tencent has decided to take a more specific and unique path in the creation of this game. The teaser starts with a message of integrity, “Every Man Is A Piece Of The World,” after which it shows two warriors clashing their blades with all their might and then using certain mystical powers to gain the edge on each other.

Of course, every game looks good as a trailer, but nothing can be said until it’s actually released. Although, players are amused by the unique path this company took. It seems that Tencent wants to get into the single-player market that has been skyrocketing for the past few years.

Code: To Jin Yong is shaping up to be a great experience, with new mechanics, and a new setting would definitely give it recognition. The game is based on Epic Games’ proprietary next-generation game engine, Unreal Engine 5. However, no release date has been announced for the game at the moment.
