While the web3 features in titles are quite polemical due to harmful practices, both entries have amassed attraction for bringing AAA gameplay and NFT features that benefit the player. Phantom Galaxies uses blockchain tech and NFTs to let users own them and partake in its development and its vast economic bubble. Gamers can own, create, or trade NFTs of many in-game items, like weapons and skins, for an active economic system.
Phantom Galaxies, crafted in the Unreal Engine 5, boasts stunning visuals and realistic characters. But it is far from just being a pretty eye candy. The online action RPG title also stands out for featuring intense and competitive gameplay in the currently shown footage. Early access for the project will begin on November 15, allowing players to join forces in the online multiplayer against each other whilst earning NFTs.
The collaboration partner, Shrapnel, is another giant in the web3 gaming scene. It claims to be the first moddable blockchain extraction shooter game that is built by a qualified team of BAFTA & Emmy Award-winning talent. The AAA title is going to let players customize their own operators and reward NFTs by creating and curating content or by merely participating in the development. Shrapnel is also expected to receive early access this year.
Both entries are slated to be released sometime next year, but no exact release date has been confirmed so far. The collaboration of both studios may result in fastened development and other positive changes.
