Story Highlights
- Kim Hyung Tae has stated that Stellar Blade’s recent demo was his initiative.
- The director wanted gamers to get a feel for the South Korean action title.
- The game is set to launch worldwide on April 26, 2024.
While talking to Ruliweb in a new interview, Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae revealed that the game’s demo was not a Sony order but his own idea. The developer went on to say that he wants fans to experience the action game instead of watching videos. Furthermore, Hyung Tae wanted to go the extra mile to improve the rare South Korean AAA titles standing.
It was my decision to release a demo version. Since Korean console titles are so rare, we thought that it was our duty to provide a demo version that links to the main game. Because no matter how much you watch videos of an action game, you can’t understand everything unless you play it yourself.”
However, the Stellar Blade director also mentioned how the demo does not showcase the full potential of the Shift Up title. As it only contains the opening section of the action game, it doesn’t capture all the aspects of the game and is in place just so players can see how it works.
Kim Hyung Tae further explained that the title gets more varied in combat as you progress and there will be more combinations for players to unlock.
