Capcom Arcade Stadium was a massive collection of 32 retro games published by CAPCOM that came out between 1984 and 2001. Arcade Stadium was released as a Nintendo exclusive in February 2021. However, two months later, CAPCOM released Arcade Stadium for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was a huge success for the company, as it received a Metascore of 80 on Metacritic, and gamers globally appreciated the release of the retro games for modern consoles and Microsoft Windows. Now, it seems that CAPCOM is planning to release a sequel to the game for PC, according to a recent rating in Korea (thanks, Gematsu).
We speculate it to be “an unannounced follow-up to the previously released arcade game compilation, Arcade Stadium This recent Korean rating could very well be the confirmation for players waiting for the announcement about CAPCOM’s Arcade Stadium franchise. However, some players seem skeptical about the release of a separate collection, and instead, they would want a pack for the same Arcade Stadium.
However, others players say that it is a good decision by the company. Nonetheless, all the players are positive about the speculated release of Arcade 2nd Stadium and are hoping for the same result that the first collection got. It remains to be seen how the sequel will go and what games it would include. However, take this information with a grain of salt, as it could be something completely different as well.
One notable takeaway from the rating is that it is rated for only PC and no other platforms. This could suggest that the new games with Arcade 2nd Stadium may not be coming for the other platforms, or it might have different things to offer on PC than on the console version. It could be anything, and we don’t know for certain at the moment.
