Shift Up Comments On Stellar Blade’s PC Future

Stellar Blade has turned a lot of heads this year following its release on the PlayStation 5, and that’s, of course, for reasons more than one. But, here’s a prospect that could elevate the Korean action-adventure to heights hitherto unreached before—a possible PC release. Commenting on just that, the developer has made an interesting remark in a new performance report for 2024’s second quarter (thanks Genki.)

While Stellar Blade made landfall exclusively on the PS5 earlier this year in April, it seems the idea of games going multi-platform these days has gotten around to Shift Up as well. The developer is plotting a PC release and is “excited” to see how it’s going to turn out on the platform. 

We are preparing for a PC release in the near future to continue the excitement of the ‘Steller Blade’ IP, and we expect better results on PC than on consoles,” confirms the report (via translation).

Well, here’s one thing that I can think of that’s going to make Stellar Blade’s PC release extremely worthwhile—mods.

I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination, but know this as you go along, the prospect is certainly something I’m willing to get behind. 

Stellar Blade Could Come To PC As Soon As Later In The Year

From topping Japanese sales charts in its debut week to becoming a UK best-seller within weeks of being released, Stellar Blade has hit the nail on the head for a successful launch. It even pulled praise out of Nier’s iconic frontman, Yoko Taro, saying that it’s “much better” than Nier: Automata. If you haven’t picked the game up yet and are waiting for a PC release, stay tuned because an official announcement could come sooner rather than later. 

Stellar Blade launched on April 26, 2024, for the PlayStation 5. eXputer reviewed the title, rating it 4/5, with author Hamid Ali remarking,
