The official Twitter handle of the upcoming Need for Speed Unbound was in control of quite the person lately. Over a heated debate between a fan bashing EA for not paying much attention to the fans and the Need for Speed account getting right back at them, things escalated pretty quickly with the fan in question getting called “Milkshake brain.” That’s, well, certainly not lovable.
Since then, the same Twitter account has issued an apology for what happened and deeply regrets the harsh exchange of these otherwise golden words. To be honest with you, the admin of that account truly fires it off with that last reply to the fan saying they won’t be buying the game. Straight-up savagery, to say the least.
The Rundown:
- Need for Speed Unbound‘s release is days away from now and the game has its pre-orders going live at the moment. One of the benefits you get with pre-ordering the Palace Edition of the game is a 3-day early access. This particular variant of Need for Speed Unbound costs about $79.99.
- A fan not particularly liking to pay extra for getting early access to Need for Speed Unbound let themselves loose on the Need for Speed official Twitter account.
- Replying to the concerned fan when they started discussing the morals of Need for Speed’s conduct, the Twitter manager of Need for Speed’s account called the fan “Milkshake brain.”
- The same account has now put up an apologetic tweet, admitting that some of the account’s replies did cross the line.
Although the original tweets have since been deleted by the Need for Speed Twitter account itself, the internet, doing what it does best, has captured proof of the instance in the form of screenshots. In specific, Michael or LegacyKillaHD on Twitter has uploaded the following.
This "edgy" EA social media employee is embarrassing…

Kylo, the fan involved in the bout, did get back to the company right after getting called “Milkshake brain.” They followed things up with a swift, “Milkshake company,” only to be told, “Cry about it bro or buy regular price idc.” But that’s not it, the final blow did come in by the witty Need for Speed Unbound Twitter account admin.
After calling out the attitude of Need for Speed’s Twitter handler and saying that they’re not going to buy the game on release day anymore, here’s what the person on the other replied while helming Need for Speed on Twitter. “I’m not reading all that, sorry that happened to you or congratulations.”
The following is the latest reply from someone plausibly more sensible as compared to the person handling Need for Speed’s Twitter account above. The marketing team says, “We admit we got a bit caught up in the hype for launch and some of our recent social media replies crossed the line. To those fans we upset, we apologize. We will do better. See you here next week.”

That was quite the drama that unfolded there. One thing’s for sure, the ex-operator of the Need for Speed Twitter account isn’t going to be adding in “Good customer support communication skills” on his CV moving forward.
Need for Speed Unbound releases on November 29, 2022, which is practically days away from now. About a month ago, EA revealed terrific customization potential in Unbound and uncovered the anime style of the much-anticipated forthcoming racing simulator.
The game was revealed last month after months of speculation and chasing down rabbit holes. Unbound will release for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
