The last BioShock game to hit marketplaces, stores and the gaming scene altogether date back to 8 years ago. BioShock Infinite, that is to say, was an absolute thriller in its time, and is the third installment in the series. It’s been quite a while since we heard anything officially apart from confirmation of the game back in 2019.
It seems now, however, that we’re probing a bit further and getting to know what this highly anticipated sequel is going to be like. A recent job listing on the official website of the game’s developer, Cloud Chamber, requires a Senior Writer for this next iteration.
Under the job description, the devs have written, “We’re hoping to find someone who can weave impactful, character-driven stories in an open world setting.” This sparks a bevy of possibilities for BioShock 4 since none of its predecessors have shared a similar style of gameplay.
BioShock 4 has been in development for plenty of years. It only makes sense to assume that the game is going to be large-scale, involving free-roam gameplay with a variety of different areas to explore. However, how the story is going to play out with the sequel is something that has us fairly intrigued.
It’s unbiased to say that the continuation of Big Daddy and Co is far away from a trailer or any other form of reveal. Current job listings depict that a substantial part of the game is remaining to be developed. Anyhow, patience is nothing but a virtue.
