Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Bombed With Negative Reviews On Steam

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has received a slew of negative reviews on Steam due to its terrible mouse and keyboard support. Currently, the game is sitting at around 3,000 reviews, with about 70% of them being outright negative.

Most of the negative reviews seem to hold poor optimization for the game’s mouse and keyboard controls, while others report performance issues for the PC port of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Note that the game’s demo was available for a while before the game’s release. The mouse and keyboard control issues were also present in the game’s demo version.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was released today, March 3, 2023. The game takes on the story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy setting of Chinese history.

The action-RPG game features elements that are commonly found in Soulsborne titles as it is developed by Team Ninja, the makers of Nioh. Nioh was released back in February 2017, and its sequel was released in March 2020.

Despite all the negative reviews on Steam, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty scored 82 for the PC port on Metacritic. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X ports have a score of 81 and 80, respectively.

As reported by the reviewers on Steam, there have been a fair number of performance issues with the PC port of the game. Given that it is the launch day, the devs would likely release patches to fix most of the performance issues in due time.

Additionally, the action RPG has crossed 75,000 players on Steam. The number refers to Steam concurrent users only, as the game is also available on Microsoft Store for purchase. 

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is currently available to play on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One.
