CDPR has released update 2.1, the last major patch, for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing new gameplay elements to Night City. According to the patch notes, this release focuses on bug fixes, changes and improvements, and the implementation of some most-requested features such as NCART metro, Radioport, repeatable car races, hangouts with romance options, and cats.
Following the introduction of these new systems in Cyberpunk 2077, V can now travel between the nineteen metro stations located throughout the city via fast travel or getting on the train itself. Players would be delighted to put on the iconic theme, popularized due to Edgerunners, while on the metro as they listen to the song and gaze at the futuristic cityscape.
Moreover, you can now hang out with love interests at any of the apartments. These events are repeatable and will unlock once the romance path with any particular character has concluded. The inclusion of the Radioport now allows you to tune into various channels while on foot or on the metro. It’s fine-tuned to avoid interference with the main-quest soundtrack or getting into a vehicle.

On the gameplay side, several advanced mechanics have been introduced with update 2.1 of Cyberpunk 2077. Gangs will now pursue V following an aggressive approach toward them during certain main quests and gigs. Additionally, gigs that involve vehicle theft and delivery now have the potential to turn into a car chase and combat sequence.
Furthermore, encounters against Yasha Ivanov, Boris Ribakov, and Adam Smasher have been improved. To make Smasher more of a threat, he will now be able to activate Sandevistan which will add more pressure and difficulty to the encounter.
Lastly, patch 2.1 brings various balance changes for some of the perks, tweaks certain weapons, rebalances the stats of multiple cyberware, and improves player movement to make it more responsive.
Cyberpunk 2077 launched in December 2020, after almost a decade of anticipation. The game received many negative reviews right after its launch due to myriad bugs and glitches making it unplayable. With the time and dedication of the developers, the title was able to gloriously redeem itself.
Its DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty, was well-received by fans all over the globe. In our review, we gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5, praising the DLC’s engaging storyline and character performances, alongside the improvements brought by the previous major update.
