Larian Studios has recently launched patch # 5 for Baldur’s Gate 3. The update adds new epilogue scenes, brand-new modes, Korean language support, performance improvements, and many quality-of-life features. The update’s size is 30GB and will require approximately 130GB of storage space to install. Patch 5 comes included on physical discs shipped with Baldur’s Gate 3: Deluxe Edition.

According to the patch notes, over 1.3 million players have completed Baldur’s Gate 3 since its launch. The update adds playable epilogues that occur six months after the end of the story. The epilogue serves as a climax to the story, defined by the player’s actions and choices throughout the game. The epilogue is now available for all players if they load a save before the game’s final battle.

The update also adds two new game modes, which can be selected via the difficulty selection screen. One of the two new modes is the Honour Mode, which adds upon the previously most challenging difficulty, the Tactician Mode, and provides an even more difficult challenge by adding several new tweaks to boss fights, which aren’t available in any other game modes.

The Custom mode now allows the player to customize how they want to play the game, making Baldur’s Gate 3 even more similar to Dungeons and Dragons, the table-top RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 is based upon. Additionally, the update adds Korean language subtitles.
