Bungie has taken to Twitter to address the massive Destiny 2: The Final Shape leak. The statement claims that “a portion” of the expansion was accidentally uploaded early on PlayStation 5’s streaming service. The devs claim that “a small group of players” were able to get their hands on the DLC and try out a chunk of the campaign ahead of time. Bungie emphasizes being careful about the influx of leaks because the upcoming DLC will finally wrap up the Light and Darkness Saga. Finding out the conclusion via a leak would suck after waiting for years, after all. The studio also acknowledges that it’s a difficult time for the whole time and requests to report the leakers.

We recommend being very careful on social media over the next few days to avoid spoilers. Remember to exercise caution and be critical of potential misinformation.”
